Depending on when this happens, I'd be glad come help/watch/learn/build up some TW karma. Waiting on a set of Kings to show up, and shopping for the rest. Maybe it'll all be here in time to join the install part of the party.

Nice work @ColoradoTJ finally recovering those 2. Did I read it right, Tacoma was 2WD?

Depending on the timing, I could come help with this install if you need some extra hands... of course, I don't have tools, or knowledge of what to do, or a Taco.... but, I do have a willingness to learn and 2 hands and copious knowledge of opening beers....

They use Emamectin Benzoate trunk injections. One of the only proven defense against ash borer. Most other places will sell you a cheaper Merit (brand name, chemical = Imidacloprid) root injection but it is pretty ineffective.

Look at Table 2 in the following PDF

“ it is technically on private property within the park. It will be up to that property owner and the owner of the jeep to figure out how to tow it down.“

If I owned the property, I’d somehow get a crusher up there and destroy the Jeep to set an example of this nimrod.

    Thanks. We had fun.

We had the truck in 2wd to flip the 180*. Front tires were on dirt and holding the truck while my winch line was pulling the truck around while the tires were spinning to assist. Works great for tight areas. Kinda like doing a front dig with the rear axle disconnected.

A 2wd truck wouldn’t even make it back where we were in dry conditions.

my area of NE does not have much in regards to 1st gens (at least none that I see on the roads anymore) I don't believe they have survived the climate here, its very harsh! so my old truck might be almost one-of-a-kind here I dont know lol.
I am under the assumption that CO has a fair amount of 1st gens and I am needing some help/advice on where to go to get some minor body and frame repair/rehab work on my truck to keep it on the roads as best I can (I have made it 22yrs so far but there are signs of aging that I need to get taken care of.) I have had a few local estimates but I do not necessarily trust them to get the job done right! They do not seem to be very Toyota enthusiastic. i.e., I pulled onto a lot at trucks plus and nothing but huge Detroit trucks all around.

I guess I am just looking for any rec's on some Colorado body shops that cater to Toyota trucks enthusiasts that I can check out to save my truck

would it be better to open a separate topic thread so it doesn't get buried in here?
or maybe somebody here has the equipment and tools available to take a look?

    thanks :)

I think you will get most responses in here. Most don't check those separate/single topic threads.

Was at the game last night and it was absolutely nuts. Nothing like playoff hockey.

Makar's first goal on his first shot in his first game was special.

You're not going to find much frame for repair shops in Colorado. You could try independent fabricators and see if they would tackle anything like that. There are plenty of clean frames in junk yards around here though, if your looking to swap frames. In most cases it is more cost effective to buy a new to you vehicle and start out with proper frame maintenance for your states climate/road treatments.

Yeah the energy on home ice was exactly what we needed. I'm sure you could hear the "Smith you suck" chants on TV hahaha.

Now I wish had tickets to tomorrow's game.

thanks! my frame is not shot like some of the worst I have seen in pics here on TW, just a few exterior troubling spots popping up. A couple of Toyota mechanics have told me the 'frame issues' with the 1st gens don't apply to my '97 model but I have no idea who or what to believe anymore. I just don't want it to keep festering! I have a challenging enough time with the body panels and keeping clean and corrosion free. If I had a lift in my garage I would attempt to clean it myself but I am not in my teens/early 20s and with some progressive limited mobility in my neck and back it was difficult enough to get underneath near the rear bumper/spare tire areas where I cannot see to properly hose off in the winter

I have looked into the associated costs with a new frame swap (if still available, a great condition used/salvaged would work too) and my personal case it seems more cost effective to do that than the $40~50k prices on the new Tacos
