I want to be able to take my big dog along, but gotta get out of the RTT and into a ground tent before I try that. I have no idea how he'll handle it all. Major anxiety.

The girlfriends pup loves it, but he doesn't need gravel roads to have fun, he likes it all. So I prefer more than TNF.

I'm going to say nope. Unless you're like @TheTacoma going off the beaten path (signs say you aren't supposed to) then you don't really need 4wd. I don't think I ever engaged it when we were there.

As I said before the camp spot we used was nice, right by the water...but that's about it. Everything else was just dull to me. Y'all gotta remember it's over 2.5 hours for me....I don't want to drive that far to ride on gravel roads..

    Like, so many.
Can you recommend a better road/trail than 600-1?

the slab, for real. you can do it without 4WD as well, but you can also go through stuff that needs 4WD. pick and choose.

The 1st picture is at the slab and is the best place I have seen at the Slab. Prentice Cooper has a lot more than what I post and is very stock friendly

the slab doesn't have any huge cliff overlooks or scenic "stand at for 3 minutes and take a photo" spots...sure, but it's not trashy or ugly either....and not as boring as TNF...

Oh, didn't say it was, I like both that's why I post pictures of both. Prentrice Cooper is for sure more stock friendly with side trails for a challenge if you want and definitely more to look at for the ladies. But both are good rides

These pics were taken a couple months ago? Not sure about the condition of the actual trails.

Nice. Not sure exactly when I went as far as during the year but I do remember the one road that i was familiar with to get over to the river was gated. That is a fun little ride with beautiful views for sure!!

I has to be lol. Im not crazy like some folks are. Im trying to break the mold a bit and show that people that like to go overlanding can also like to beat the dogg snot out of their rigs on proper trails.

you do, and I appreciate that. you got the IG stuff, with the non-IG mentality, and that's cool.

I'm with Mark I don't like the people that buy something just because everyone has that something. I fell into that with the Prinsu's and never fully liked them other than the looks. Glad to not have them now.

DO NOT CAMP AT THE SLAB!! Well if you like to be stabbed or shot its the place for you. Its a great place during the day, at night its a drug dealer meet up and young punk kids hang out to get wasted.
