Hanging up your low hanging trailer hitch while Wheeling? Time for a real bumper, boi

At least the hitch receiver is sturdy enough to take a pounding and still hold shape.

They make it yellow, I'll buy no questions asked. Loved the Tonka truck yellow on the FJ, and since it seems like they are going down the entire FJ color palette, I'm hoping for a 2021 pro yellow?

I think the new Lunar Rock paint on the RAV4 should have been the new Pro color. Army green isn't going to get women excited at Applebee's and Costco on Saturday outing, but I do use moisturizer on my hands.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Wrong!! Less stuff to break!!! There are few devices in a car more prone to failure than mechanically keyed ignition switches.

The newer ones are even worse
because they are all made by cheap Chinese subcontractors because keyed switches are typically only found on base model vehicles, or antiquated designs.

Keyless start is as robust as your ECU, which is very robust. I’ve never heard of a keyless start failure. I’ve had personal experience with keyed ignition switches wearing out many times.

Keyless start will fail if your fob battery fails.

At least on the old '95 Pathfinder, a Phillips would remove the ignition cylinder and a flathead would turn it for a popstart if I couldnt find the keys

What’s easier to carry or hide on your vehicle.....a spare watch battery or a spare key and ignition cylinder?

Wrong, on my Prius the fob battery died and removed the battery and it would start if you simply put the transmitter (fob) by the push start. I imagine it's the same on all toyotas

Odd.... Thought the chip inside had to transmit so the car would "know" the keys were nearby

I spent nine years in the army. As a young soldier, I did a year long stint as the Battalion Commander’s driver. Wish we had the internet back then. I could've used your post.

Colonel: “Where the hell have you been soldier?!”

Me in as innocent a voice as I could muster: “Uggghhh, well sir, I’ve been hard at work for the past three hours scrubbing a bird turd off the Humvee.”

Doesn't work every time. I think it depends on how dead the battery actually is. It’ll start if its mostly dead.

    upload_2019-4-16_9-36-20.jpg

If its all dead you’re SOL. Just happened with my wife’s Rav.

Did you physically touch the fob on the button? I had completely removed my battery out of my fob and started the vehicle like that for months until I stopped being lazy and bought a battery

Yes. The dealer had told us to actually use the fob to push the button and it still wouldn't work until i changed it out for a fresh battery.

LOL. Should have and did are two very different things. There are really only so many ways to push a button. Not really rocket surgery...
