    Another fleet truck update. These are in a Ram 1500 that I used to drive two years ago. The vehicle has temporarily come back to my area and it still has the Wildpeaks I put on it. Unfortunately, the maintenance log book has gone missing, but based on old invoices I estimate these tires have over 50k miles on them.

    Went back to Wildpeak after having a set of Duratrac from a used setup I purchased. Glad to be back on this quieter tire. Maybe slightly less aggressive, but I doubt any real compromise. What are the PSI people are running for P265 70 17?

    Hey all!

    Just bought a set for 4r pro wheels for my 2016 TRD Sport. Think I'm set on the wildpeak at3 but not on tire size. Seams like a lot of folks run 265/70r17 on stock suspension. Does anyone have any pictures of a gen 3 trd sport with 265/65r17? Thanks!

    Well I had a new set of 265/75/16 Wild
    Peaks installed at America’s tire yesterday.
    I asked two different sales people that the yellow dot be placed at the valvestem per Falkens recommendation and they said sure no problem we will balance them correctly. Drove home and noticed slight vibration at around 70 on the freeway so decided to check the mounting location of the yellow dots and found none of them were even close to the valvestem. One was 180 degrees off on the complete opposite side from the valvestem and had 3oz. Of weight to balance. Oddly enough I noticed all the weights were placed where the yellow dot was located on all four tires.
    Feel like going back and making them remount them the way I asked for.

    Maybe a stupid question but will a 265x75r16 tire fit under the truck as a spare? I still have the OEM size as spare . So far I like the Wildpeaks they seem to get quieter the more I drive em 20190404_170141.jpg

    Just had 265/70/17s mounted w/ TRD Pro 4Runner wheels. Not a lot of miles logged on them yet, and had the old wheels and tires in the back. Will report back after some drive time. Seemed to roll very smooth and no vibrations, but only got up to about 55mph. Look great, much more aggressive in person than pictures depict.

    I need a little help making my final decision. First time replacing tires on the Tacoma I bought 2 years ago. She currently runs 260/70r16 and desperately needs replacement tires

    7B9699E5-33A8-41FB-96F0-7CC5E546A84D.jpg

    My truck sits without a lift and I pull the above pictured trailer around the southeast almost every weekend between June - August.

    Do I want the AT3 in 265/70r16 or 265/75r16 ?? Will 265/75 rub without a lift? I don’t do off-roading, it’s mostly highway and city miles. I like the idea of gaining an inch for the look, just don’t want it to rub or cause a big drop in MPG

    @FletchLax

    You’ll fit either size with no lift and mileage won’t be hurt more than maybe 1mpg with the 265/75’s.

    So 265/70 or 265/75 in SL, P or C load. Do not get E load.

    On a semi-unrelated note, I’d recommend a single leaf “long add-a-leaf” or a weight distributing hitch. Looks like you squat a bunch with that trailer and from experience...it’s not a comfortable ride like that.

    The 265/75 Falkens I was scoping out were an SL load, so good to know...what exactly is the difference there? Weight capacity?

    In regards to the squat, I've definitely noticed it too - are these what I would need?

    @FletchLax
    In a short answer yes. Weight capacity which is correlated to the number and thickness of tire plies...leading to tire weight.

    SL Wildpeaks are pretty stout and will be better off than your current tires when you’re towing.

    I’ll PM you on suspension stuff so we don’t distract this thread

    Pretty aggressive tire for a truck that is on highway, no off-road use, and no snow. What about the less aggressive Falkens? Like a Rubitrek?

    I have put about 100 miles on my 265/70/17s SL. Not a lot of mileage yet, but very pleased with these so far. No balancing issues with mine, very quiet for the aggressive tread design, and ride smooth. I like the way the truck handles better with these VS my stock 16” Goodyears. Doesn’t float near as much.

    Also, how much did you pay for your 265/75r16s? I paid $780 for all 5. Includes all necessary balancing after wards and rotations. I got the insurance for an extra $50.

    For all highway... I would not get the falken wildpeaks. Get some Michelin LTX/Defender/or AT2's @ costco can be had for a great deal.
