    :hattip:

I'd go 650# like Andrew said unless you end up doing dual batteries up there then bump up to 700 and it should be good. I vote for Kings because blue looks awesome, match that with some Total Chaos

But if you're going bawls out just do LT front end and say screw it haha

Well seeing 2nd and 3rd gens have the same suspension it won't matter but yes it was a typo as I'm used to talking with 2nd gens :anonymous:

Thanks to all, I love when great minds bring it all together.
Rolling out in the am to purchase the armor...then heading to the mtn house to wheel and celebrate the beginning of this truck transformation!
    THANK YOU TW!

You know this! I usually wheel up in TN, NC, AL... so I am down for it.
I usually take my Landcruiser or ‘85 Truggy. Will be nice to wheel this new taco!

I am stoked on the Armor. The pics I will take will be killer I promise, as that is my skill set.

Looks like I will be getting:
    - Front alum bumper with a modified hoop,
    - Rear Steel (as I don’t think the rear is avail in Alum) rear bumper with dual swing outs w/ every option to help my camp setup.
    - Steel skids.
    - Sliders which I am guessing should be steel as well. Never seen them in Alum.

Also going to order some stuff for my 4runner and tundra while this sale is happening.

    I am pumped!

    @ovrlndkull
I see your up in NC.
My mtn House is up above Asheville, just north of Mt. Mitchell on Mt. Winterstar.
My GPa built a bunker up at the top of the mountain. It has been my refuge since I was 6. I love NC more than anyplace I have been. The sounds of Cattail Creek puts me to sleep.
There is some cools spots up there, but ya have to know where your going.
Don’t wanna end up on someone’s land... I have met some interesting mtn folk up there.

I'm about 2:30 hrs or so from Asheville. I'm more of a beach bum. We have a family place down there and a very old family homestead in the Mtns of NH.

    Who wants a slice?! 255/85/16 KM2

So this thread dropped off for a bit, but no longer!

I decided to roll with my Pro as it sits suspension wise until I get everything on there.

Surprisingly, the Icon AAL did a great job of taking the reverse rake out of the truck. Other than that suspension is stock.

    Today I put on a set of KM2 255/85/16s.
I got stuck like chuck the other day, pulling my trailer. Well good bye ATs, it’s time to roll MTs.
    Check out my pizza cutters.

    Let there be Light!!!

I use my truck for a lot of camping. In which I run then Camp lights for awhile.

For this reason I was looking for something like Rock Lights or something that draws the least amount of power.

I also wanted to able to have both color options Red and White at night.

Picked up some Baja Designs lights from @state48overland. These guys (Erick and Jay) have been extremely helpful in pin pointing my needs. If you don’t know who they are, time to find out.

Here is my Baja Designs setup:

    703013 - Qty 2
30” Single Row for Demello Front
    Straight S8 30” Driving/Combo Amber

    - Pair of Fogs for Demello (Amber)

Thanks for the update Erick. I appreciate the updates you have sent out. I have been impressed with your frequent status updates, thank you.
You can find these guys at:
    https://state48overland.com/

This is a good time to discuss Armor.

I have been wheeling for awhile now, and have built out several trucks. Mostly Landcruisers, but over the years I have seen a significant rise in armor manufactures. I mean a lot, hell even if your in the know, you will be taking over a camp fire and someone will bring up a new outfit that has hit the scene.

No more are we all just stuck with the og ARB built for a LandRover, there are a truck ton of options out there. Many are very uniques designs, others just too similar to one another to call them different at all.

    Bumper of choice:
This go around I wanted an Aluminum Bumper up front that was lightweight and super stout. I drive one speed, wide open. Putting the weight of steel out front is the last thing I need to do.

This is why I chose to go with the Demello Offroad Overland Series.
    Built by @JDEMELLO
    https://www.demello-offroad.com/

Specifically, the Aluminum Low Profile Baja version, in which they deleted the side supports from the center low profile hoop (done purely for aesthetic reasons).

I was looking for a bumper that was:
    - Proven; I didn’t need to be a ginnypig this go around. Been there.

    - Aesthetically Pleasing; A plate bumper that utilized the oem lines of the grill, and followed the edges around the corners.

    - Gusseted; all bumpers need gussets, to form a plate bumper and to not add gussets is just plain wrong.

    - Recovery Points; these should be avail and usable. I have actually heard about some companies stating, to not use their recovery points in their Aluminum bumpers after the fact...WTF!?

    - LED Light Cutout; this is a preference thing. I just like to have the option to stick one in there. A 30” Baja Designs s8 Amber is the jam! IMO. Oh, and a set of Squadrons for your fogs.

    - Winch Location; some bumpers do a better job at creating a space for you to optimally run your solenoid, others not so much.

Pics of the armor at Demello about to get wrapped up and heading my way.

Bumpers and Sliders for the Taco, FJC and Runner have arrived.

We are wiping them down and about to powder coat them using Black Magic (super nice satin finish) matches oem elements extremely well.

Powder coated the Alum Baja Lo Profile Bumper today using Black Magic. Sickness indeed!

Rolling out of town this week to rep my buddies LC Offroad shop at GSMTR this week. When I get back, this and a boat load of other stuff is going on.

Well I am back and the bumper, winch, and lights went on.
