Oh Bullshit! We got mopped in game 1, because the pen allowed 8 runs in the 6th [13-5]. Games 2,3 and 4 we lost by 5 runs total and were up in all 3. Game 3 we had bases loaded in the ninth and lost by 1. Game 4 we lost in extra innings. Yes, we got swept but that ain't what I call getting mopped. Getting mopped is last year losing 27-6 in a 3 game series against Boston. We should have won 3 of those 4 games. We didn't because we have NO bullpen. And Seattle is fucking good!

Our pen still sux but one extra quality start inning in each of the last 2, we won 7-2 and 3-0 against Cleveland who WAS leading the AL Central. Not implying KC will be in contention again soon. But, this team has been tied or leading through 7 in 10 of 14 games. Period. We have the speed, the offense, the defense, and the starting pitching to contend. Our bullpen has a 9 ERA. We manage to get that fixed BEFORE we are out of contention, look out!

 

Royals sweep Cleveland, headed to Chicago then a 4 game series in NY --- should be a helluva series!
not sure anymore what NYY can do against Boston ... it is borderline dismal

Lol, so really what you are saying is that if your team was better then you should have won some of those games. That's some deep analysis. The only game you maybe should have won was game 4 when Hamilton dropped that ball in the 9th. That one maybe could have gone either way, but Haniger still has to rip one to deep center field to even create that scenario in the first place. And that wasn't a fluke. The guy has hit 5 home runs already and was swinging for the fences. There is a difference between should have and could have...

 

The whole AL seems to suckass at this point ... except for Tampa they have like NO fans at their games (or so was the case last year) ... my local paper stopped printing box scores so I could study further at a glance

 

I believe they are next to last the marlins being the worst for attendance
