Alabama thread!

Not everyone, I think there was only 4 of us that went.

 

It's not a wheeling day though...

 

Also...dang this girl looks good. So proud of her and her accomplishments.

A ton of stuff, since I used it for several weeks and finally got rid of it., The results of each search weren't as adequate as I was looking for.

I wished I could go back, since it's a more ethical company than g00gle and I'm not a bing fan either.

 

Anybody kno anybody that needs a great family tent. I need to get this thing sold.

 

Was suppose to be in Moab but I am not going to be going this year

So my answer is no.

 

For the first time in 6 years I am going to be alone this coming Saturday, April 20th. No need for pitty, my wife is getting to go play in Afghanistan for 90days. (Yes I'm jealous).

On Saturday I'm going to drive into Talladega National Forest for some light offroading and camping. I know of a couple of spots that can hold a few vehicles, so if anyone wants to meet me in Sylacagua before heading into the TNF y'all are more than welcome to tag along. Was going to wheel for 5 or 6 hours before setting up camp and cooking my steak.


Here is what's going down

-Arriving at Jack's in Sylacauga at 10:00-10:30AM
-Heading into Talladega National Forest to explore the skyway trail.
- Pausing around lunch for some camp food
- Continue to explore till late afternoon
- Set up Camp and chill by the fire and enjoy some adult beverages.
- Sunday I'll enjoy some eggs, ham, beans, and coffee for breakfast, then I'm heading back through the trails and onward towards Montgomery.

Anyone is welcome to join in, I'm not looking to make a 4x4 fail video. I'm just wanting to play in my truck some on 4-20. If anyone is interested just tag me with @ and I'd be more than happy to hang around at Jack's till 10:30AM before heading into the woods.

I know I'm new here, and you folks don't know me, but you'll find when I say I'm good for something I always deliver. I don't drink/smoke and drive, and I'm not reckless. What you do when you aren't behind the wheel is your business so long as you act like adults, and I'm cool with that.

Wish I could go but we’re having a kind of family reunion for Easter this year and most are coming in Saturday. O well at least it’s 4/20.

WTH is up with the roads between Montgomery and Birmingham? Road construction with no workers or machinery in sight. Rocks flying all over the place and roads beat to hell. Ridiculous!

If we can’t fix them I’m going to change my stance on imigration and we can put everyone traveling from South American to work today. They can start in a Alabama.

TOMORROW: Most of the day tomorrow will be warm and dry across Alabama, but clouds will increase, and southerly winds will increase, averaging 15-25 mph by afternoon with higher gusts. The high tomorrow will be in the upper 70s.

SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE TOMORROW NIGHT: A band of strong to severe thunderstorms will push into Alabama tomorrow night. SPC has an “enhanced risk” (level 3/5) defined for parts of West and Southwest Alabama, with a “slight risk” (level 2/5) for the rest of the state.

While shear values will be very high, instability could be a limiting factor for severe storms over the northern half of the state.

TIMING: While a storm might approach the western border of Alabama as early as 4:00 tomorrow afternoon, the core threat comes tomorrow night, after 6:00. Storms will exit the state after midnight tomorrow night.

THREATS: Storms will be capable of producing strong, possibly damaging winds and a few tornadoes. The best combination of helicity and instability for tornadoes will be over the southern half of the state. The hail threat is not especially high.

RAIN: Rain amounts of around 1 inch are forecast, so no flooding issues.



Quick fact. Alabama leads the nation in Tornadoes this year. Not something I want this state to win.
