I don't think the Ferrari boss is bad, I think their brain trust is bad. And F**K THEM anyway for what they did to LeClerc. I hate that stupid, eternal, Ferrari driver favoritism.

Well done Mercedes, well done HAM winning his 75th and F1's 1000th. Albon was brilliant, better look out Mr Gasly because you work for the least loyal team in F1. That said I think both Gasly and Ricciardo are still feeling out their new rides and improving each race.

What happened to all that talk about this being a DRS feast of a race -- I didn't see much of import in that regard at all.

Off topic, but when I shut off the F1 recording I was greeted with a screen showing Tiger Woods wearing a green jacket! How about that.

What a meh race. Not even middle of the pack battles going on.

So much for Ferrari having some unanswered pace. And some odd team orders.

    Good race by Albon!

My DVR had an error after 16 laps. Then, the "crawl screen" on the bottom of another ESPN program shows Hamilton won. Pretty much what it was when my recording crapped out. No need to watch that parade then. I was hoping for some action....

Yep, f@#k 'em. They always have, and always will, be a team orders type of team which is shit. And of course Vettel was locking up every few turns just trying to say ahead of the kid.

And LeClarc wasnt doing anything while he was in front of Vettel. Wasnt exactly pulling away from Vettel nor gaining on Bottas.

Not that I agree with the team order to swap places but it wasnt like they were both gaining on Bottas or doing much other than being close to teach other

    IMO of course :)

True. But Ferrari's explanation that they had to do "something" to try and catch Mercedes rings completely hollow. The "something" they had to do was avoid letting Vettel be overtaken by Fishlips so that he, and not Leclerc, had a shot at the podium. They had all the data in front of them and knew damn well that Vettel's car was in no better shape (it was probably worse due to tire degradation) than Leclerc's and that Vettel had no shot at catching up. Mission accomplished. Vettel is now on top of his teammate by one point.

    Analysis: Were Ferrari’s
    team orders fair on Leclerc?

    The punch line:
There’s little indication Vettel was significantly faster than Leclerc. The time lost swapping their drivers meant Ferrari finished third and fifth instead of third and fourth.

Leclerc had plenty of reason to feel hard done by. Particularly as this was the third time in as many races Ferrari showed his interests come second to his team mate’s.

But the kid couldn't keep up with Seb after the pass! Yes he could and did. He knew that he wouldn't be allowed to pass Seb so, unlike Seb, he backed off to save his tires then matched Seb's lap times.
So yep, screw Ferrari. So far they are getting what they deserve this year.

Would be a different story is Leclerc was Italian driver Giovinazzi.

Might be a different story if they became more of an international racing team as far as their team and technical management goes. Italy is a beautiful country but it's a small gene pool as far as world class racing industry talent goes.

He's a professional. But he'd be foolish to languish in a #2 spot for any length of time. He's a genuine talent.
