    New here, first post.

I just picked up my 2019 Taco and I love everything about it, but the seats. I have a bad lower back and this thing is starting to bother me. Raising the front for me might just help out. I would be in for a set, at least the driver to test out.

@EasyDoesIt can you provide before and after photos of what the seat looks like with the riser in place? I want to know what it is changing to the seat pitch.

    Ha ha, now thats funny!

Good call, we are going to powder coat them all black, if folks want custom colors the price will be $5 more and leadtime will probably be a little longer.

    Thanks, I'll reach out.

Do it man! I'm told it makes one hell of a difference.

I'm starting a list that will transfer to a For Sale thread next week. If I missed you, let me know. If I included you and you're not interested, let me know.

Also, please include your state of residence - only shipping to US residents now. I'm looking into a little bit of discount for the first few orders if you'll do a review (good or bad).

----Check 1st post for list of interested buyers----

Thanks again for all the great feedback,
    Steve

Well that doesn't change the inertia of a seat (actually worse if they break because the seat is being pressed into the passenger who is pressed into the belt) but just realized there appears to be alignment pegs. If those are reasonably stable I think my concern here is alleviated.

However, that front end still needs work and I think your best move would be to remove the sweeping front end. Personally, I would make it a chamfered front face (basically vertical which wouldn't make it any more in the way) with just the hole for the bolt cut from the top. A bit harder to make with the blind hole but you could leave a half inch of metal below the bolt head and it would be plenty strong.

The seat doesn't provide me enough support under my thighs due to the angle. I've been looking for something like these since I bought the truck.

For those worried about the "safety" in the event of a crash.......I've never....never.....seen the bolts sheer off in a crash. But I've seen plenty of seats that were ripped apart at various locations (ie, the seat supports, tracks, where the back and seat come together etc.). I'm sure someone has, but I'd be willing to install them. Someone did bring up a valid point about aluminum breaking before it bends...how about some sort of good ole steel?!!

See this is what is crazy about all of this. I think the seats are VERY comfortable. I just wish they were a touch lower. No wonder so many engineers are balding. They're pulling their hair out trying to figure out how to make everyone happy when everyone is so different.

Lol, no shit! I’d hate to have to design crap to try and appeal to everyone. F that! I’m just glad we have some clever and talented folks on this forum.

There's another fella here who's been making spacers for a while...I bought them maybe a week after I got my 2018, my back was killing. Such a massive improvement. Your design is nice, a little more well thought out but both get the job done. Didn't look at your pricing or other details, but mine were quite affordable. there's definitely a market for them. My most affordable, and almost favorite mod.

Edit: I am an idiot and just realized these are for the front of the seat, not lifting the rear of the front seat. Woops, lol. *shrug*

I think it’s difficult selling them for a $100.00 a seat when there are multiple folks building quality aluminum sets for $50.00 a seat. I have a set of 1” risers and getting a set of ½” risers.

Not trying to derail this thread, but for my sanity, can you answer me what is under that 2nd Gen seat ^^^^?

A canned clubhouse sandwich and the butt-end of a Captain Black?
