Your missing the point with this truck. It’s a built crawler that can be daily driven. It doesn’t have engine problems. It requires extra time to make it smog legal(which can be more easily done than just about all of the mods you’ve done to your truck). The amount of custom work alone makes this a worthwhile endeavor. However, folks such as yourself don’t see the value in it. That doesn’t mean it’s worth the value “you” place on it. The market will determine its value. As it’s going to be sold to another enthusiast, the value to that enthusiasts market is reflected in the price.

Plus, I figure it’ll sell for about 9.5k...

It was a good truck. Had it for 15 years did the rubicon, moon rocks, dusey, slick rock, deer valley, niagara rim, hollister, frank Raines, etc etc.

I have three boys now and it just wouldn’t fit them all.

So I sold it and bought a Jeep YJ that has plenty of seat belts.

Miss the truck but look forward to the new adventures once I get the Jeep running (had no motor).

Yeah I thought we were done at two and my wife convinced me to try for a girl. We had another boy. :bananadead:

Taco is my daily. I like to have a third car/trail rig. Wasn’t really looking for a Jeep but the one I bought was already built and had no motor, so I got a pretty good deal on it.

It aint for sale. I paid $36k, plus interest, then I have like $3-4K in mods. If I sell it Im going to ask for a little more than what the dealership would give me. They wont take mods into account. If you dont want to pay extra for the mods Ill just take em off and sell them separately. Ill admit that the $3k is low balling, but I wouldnt pay anywhere near $13k.

Good starting bones. Only problem I see is the fact that the axle WMS is only 55" wide. 1st Gen Tacos are 60.75" so he'd need to run spacers or get a wider housing.

Yes, but if he does dual cases he can adapt an older gear driven case with a passenger drop. It's better to put the 4.7 gear in the t case compared to the crawler anyways. Less stress on the teeth.
