BUYER BEWARE: 3rd Gen Plug-N-Play Tailgate Bolt-N-Lock & Tailgate Bolt-N-Open

For those that have done this mod, is the KTJO 4x4 complete kit a substitute for the actual P&L kit, or do I still need to buy the P&L kit and hers to make this mod work. I have read most of this thread, but some how, may have missed that info. I'd like to help out those that have taken the time and effort to develop cool stuff for us, so I hope I just need her kit. It is a complete kit. You do not need the P&L kit. If you had the P&L kit, then you could buy the harness alone, to avoid splicing/tapping.

Now a bracket/rod is being added to the mix, to allow for No Drill installations.

 

Thanks for the quick reply, I've been casually paying attention to this thread, but have been spending money elsewhere. I'm more than happy that this is a no drill/no splice kit, since my truck is only a few months old. This forum is awesome! Bill in MA

@KTJO 4x4 I would like to add the bracket and rod to my full kit and was thinking that it would make sense to hold off shipping my original kit that I paided for to help save on shipping cost.Just let me know when you need the $30 sent to you.

Doubtful. Different tailgate handles. But I wouldn’t mind if they started making a model fr second gens. I almost bought a P&L yesterday but came acrosss this thread. Soo any 2nd gen version on he horizon @KTJO 4x4 its probably been asked within the thread before so my apologies

Ok. I have a TON of messages. It is HIGHLY doubtful that I will be able to get back to all of the messages within this thread here. However, I will get to each one of the PMs that have been sent to me. I know I need to update and confirm all of the new orders. I also need to update the ordering for the Bracket and Rod. I didn’t get to that because I was dealing with a 4Runner situation. I will get to updating this tomorrow. I have received tracking on the first shipment of these brackets and rods tho EVERYONE GET EXCITED!

 

Been waiting to hear the official price/process on the bracket and rod before doing anything. Should I be sending you a PM to get on the "list" at least?
