Such a distinct sound.
They use to do approaches over my work in the 70’s.
They are so big and look so slow, you think they would fall out of the sky.

 

Every day is middle finger day

 

Local radio morning show on 3WV always has some cool intros.. show is called The Big Greasy Breakfast,your post went with todays intro,when your relieving the next shift at work and they are jerks..(Good Morning, best time of the day to go $%&% yourself!!) they leave you alone till they clock out!

 

Mid week....So, Managers Meeting @ 10AM. Everyone talks, no one LISTENS. Boss "pontificates".... (Look it up....He does....) Complete waste of a day. Who cares? Only so many more of mine they get to waste! No doubt the discussion will involve the FACT that the construction completion date was YESTERDAY. They aren't CLOSE to being done. (6/7 weeks?) Our busiest/biggest days of the year are as follows, in order, biggest first....Mothers Day, Easter, Kentucky Oaks Day, Kentucky Derby Day. Those 4 days occur over the next 3 weekends. Club is booked solid. Every seat sold at every event. And we don't have ANY rooms finished. 3 haven't even been started. And guess what? It's the employees fault. Don't ask my why? It just is....

Fact is, the House Committee (responsible for design/decorating clubhouse) hasn't even made up their minds on paint colors, wallpaper, carpet, or furniture for several of the rooms. Never mind ORDERING any of that stuff.

So far;

Sales guy shows up even when I told him I didn't have time to meet this morning. Then starts sales pitch of something I told him I wasn't interested in.

Massage therapist who's not even an employee here (independent contractor) starts going off on me about what she wants as far as paint and carpet in her room (that isn't getting painted or carpeted)

2 employees get in a fight about one spilling coffee on other's phone. Somehow I'm supposed to decide their fate.

Ink cartridge on my printer decides to start leaking.

Staff meeting starts in 30 minutes. I'm about 45 minutes from being ready.

Made it home from travels yesterday and in to see the doctor today. Looks like I get to add another pill to the regiment. A statin, not because of high cholesterol (I’m actually just under 100) but because of a high Coronary calcium score. So hooray, one more pill for the collection.

I dont have meetings like some of you all but we have one today,getting ready to do forced overtime above what we already are working..some of the youngins are working them selves to death now..I did it in my younger days too but not so much anymore,my feet,knees,and back cant take it...and also a big safety talk..some guy in a Wisconin plant of ours got crushed in a press,possibly wont make it..crushed his head and trachea..

 

So, we're going to work you to the point of exhaustion but be safe out there.

 

Yep both the C 141 and C5 had that distinctive sound and you knew right away what aircraft it was without seeing it . But my favorite was the C 141 Star Lifter
