So, they want $468 to replace just the drums. They aren't changing shoes or any internal parts. they are charging $322 for the drums and $115 for labor. The same dealership has the drums online for $168. I feel like that's insane.

Shop around. My secondary injection valve went and they wanted $1200 for parts and labor. I ordered the part from McGeorge Toyota in Ashland for $442. Got it the next day and installed it myself in less than an hour.

That's funny... extremely quick internet search shows $30 each for drums. Also, if the drums are actually warped after 13k miles then the shoes AND hardware desperately need changed because they are most likely the cause.

What are they doing? Mine seemed bad but just needed adjusting. If you use your brake a lot they will get out of wack. So I stopped using mi e and haven’t had a problem since

Having some vibration/shudder/light rumble strip kind of feeling in brake pedal and seat when braking at low speeds. took it in to dealership and they measured the rotors and said they are warped but other parts are fine

Wait... now you are saying rotors. Is it the front brakes or rear? Two different things and totally different causes.

yah, they said that the warping is heat related. gave an example of "getting the brakes real hot, then setting the ebrake"

Excuse the expression, but that's just horseshit. These trucks barely utilize the rear brakes, reason most get around 100k out of the rear brakes, so it's quite difficult to heat them up if they are only doing 8 to 10 percent of the actual work. It's either a product defect or there is something wrong with the operating parts.

I appreciate the feedback. Apologies for confusing everyone, I'm just a little on edge dealing with these turds at the dealership. I'm just going to get the beast back and have someone else take a look.
