It's about 2 1/2". Icon stage 2. Slight triming of fender liner to eliminate rub.

I had 1.25 spidertraxx with the steel wheels. For appearance though. Not for rub.

Seems to be the consensus. If I’m getting spend all the $ on lift wheels tires etc might as well spend a little more for it all to look good.

    Stickers mostly
Rotating mass (such as a wheel or brake rotor) is roughly three times harder to accelerate than sprung weight (such as the weight of a passenger). This means that dropping just 6 pounds per wheel with the addition of a lighter wheel set would equate to almost ~75 pounds of sprung weight lost on the car. Use this to compare going with an alloy wheel (-10lbs per wheel = -120 comparitive sprung weight), you could really improve the pep feel in a truck. They say 100lbs is 10hp...

You are right about the physics, but will say that in my experience the inertia works both ways. On a track or driving daily on pavement alloy wheels are better in just about every sense. A pound on the tire is like two on the frame, as they say.

It's the same effect at work when comparing flywheels with stick shift trucks. Some guys replace them with lighter so the engine can rev easier while others go to heavier ones to prevent stalling at low RPM.

So I tend to prefer the weight off road, my feeling is it reduces the jarring a little bit. It's the same reason I prefer 29" diameter MTB wheels over 26" and 27.5". Tougher to accelerate but once you do get them rolling the momentum keeps them rolling. I run 16" steel spare wheels on my truck FWIW.
