more snow and big rains headed from the north, sometimes it snows in April!

    ....

I had 4wd and MT service at ToyoTechs the past week and came away with some interesting thoughts/concerns on prior Toyota dealer service in the Bellevue/Omaha area

Can't wait to try out all these off-road goodies this new rig has.

I wasn't personally affected by the flooding, but I have a buddy in Waterloo PD, and I know a few others that were affected in Freemont and Valley. The floods did play a minor role in my decision to get a truck, tho.

... curious from which dealer you got your new rig from?
I went out to lunch last week in Valley at the firehouse place.
lots of deep sand in them fields along the elkhorn, there was even a vehicle up on top of one of them piles.
also when leaving the parking lot i saw a red 3rd gen with a serious lift on but did not see it pull in and who was driving

    Corwin in Bellevue.

I've thought about trying out some of the new sand dunes in the area. However, since my Waterloo PD buddy didn't seem to think it was a good idea, and as a cop myself, I decided it would be best if I didn't. At least without permission from the land owner.

Were you happy with corwin? We were in the market for a 4Runner and I got annoyed with their prices and pressure tactics. Went to Baxter and saved almost 5K

Not really. I went there on recommendation from a buddy after the salesman at Baxter told me the Tacoma has a carbon fiber bed. I was also on a mini baxter boycott because Baxter Ford South was starting to annoy me. I told them what my budget was and what options I wasn't willing to compromise on, but they couldn't seem to grasp it. I told them an F-150 is too big and expensive for my needs, but they insisted that the F-150 was what I should get. I think I'll be dealing with Baxter North when my Taco lease is up to look at a Ranger.

I am headed to Corwin one of these days to check out one of those new sporty Corolla hatchbacks
the Village point did not have one in 6sp to test drive and said I need to pay deposit for them to transport one 400 or 500 miles in a dealer inventory swap o_O

no idea if they would drive it that many miles or put it on a trailer
those cars are pure Japan made put into shipping cargo boxes

    .....
I chatted with a Ford Ranger specialist out of pure curiousity

they told me NO Ford trucks are equipped with MT o_O

Corwin told me they drive it if it's less than 500 miles. Of course, they didn't tell me that until AFTER they drove it when I made it clear I didn't want them to drive it if it's far away. They wouldn't tell me where it was coming from, though. I won't be doing business with Corwin anymore.

Not yet. I recently got a Rottweiler pup (8 months) that has had ZERO training or socialization, so my hands have been pretty full lately. I'm not sure about my previous plate idea since nobody I've asked seems to know what it means. The plan was to get BBTRK. Apparently that's not as easy to interpret as I thought it was. It's a lot trickier to come up with a good 5 digit plate than the standard 7.

My Fusion had Marine Corps plates with EXPDT.

The term used in Douglas county for running lights and sirens is "Expedite."
