I'm going to replace the thermostat when I do the timing belt and WP replacement next year. Really wish I could've waited to do the radiator swap then to but with my luck nothing works out the way I plan.

If it’s running 205 you have some other issues going on.
    Maybe a fan clutch?
AC condenser plugged up blocking airflow to the radiator ?
    The plastic fan blades warped?
Did you burp the system correctly? With heater valve open?
With the burping radiator filler kit?
Any air in the system will run hotter

My truck NEVER gets over 200 degrees, 191 degrees is its max normally and if I’m at idle on a hot day and it gets a bit warm I can rev the rpms up to 3k and the temp drops down to 188 in 30 seconds literally

Hmm no idea, I guess I could look into the fan clutch. But I'm also going to replace my thermostat next time I pull my radiator (need to fix my AC clutch and it'll give me more room) so like Monte was saying it could be in the wrong position :notsure:

That's why I'm thinking the PO whenever they did the timing belt and WP they put it in the wrong position so in the next month or so (unless it get's worse) I'll roll with it until I fix the other stuff. The truck also isn't my only daily

Hey bud, when you put the connectors on for the AT section did you use pipe dope or tape? Or just put them on by them selves because they have a flare on the end of the pipe.

Been doing a lot with my truck lately but this is something I’m really happy getting done. I did get a better cap for the radiator it’s just not in the pics.

You should be able to use your oem one if its still in good working order or get a new oem cap.
