Added a PRO tow hook to the rear

 

How much for the “PRO” tow hook?

 

$70.00. I plasticoted them red myself.

 

Does that just bolt on to the frame back there or what?

 

Actually found a new bumper bracket from a Ra

The frame sits up to high to mount directly. I used a bumper bracket from a ram to mount it. Worked great.

 

Any underneath pictures? Did you drill any holes for the install?

 

I'd keep a hitch shackle handy..

 

Late model Ford F-150 front tow hooks mount to the frame and clear the bumper...I wouldn’t use it as a recovery point but they look clean and work great as tie downs for when I transport my KTM 250 SX on the motorcycle carrier.

 

You got the custom license plate just in case someone wasn't sure what they were looking at?

I just had to widen the bracket holes going into the frame end. It was a new rear bumper bracket that was for a late 2000 ram 1500. Don't know the exact year. I got pretty lucky. It took a while to come across a bracket that would work. Debating on installing a right hand hook. I have the other bracket.

 

Can you provide a link for the paint you used? Did you remove the front hook to paint it?

Looks great but only one bolt holds it in?

 

just have to slightly drill out the hole in the bracket for the the second bolt to slide through.
