I already have my "stage 1" installed, and am happy, but this is nice! Well thought out.

 

Does using this bracket reduce the sound coming from the actuator at all? I'm very happy with the kit, but I'd buy the bracket if it quieted down the locking/unlocking. It's not too loud by any means, I'd just like it to be quieter when I'm getting home late at night.

Yeah definitely, but I actually like it. I just wish it was a tiny but quieter when it's late at night and if the new bracket accomplishes that, I'll open my tailgate back up and switch to the new mounting style.

 

The new bracket doesn’t do much for sound . I think because it’s such a good actuator maybe over time it will loose some of its punch and be alittle more quite . I think if I add a 2nd washer to the actuator shaft and stop it from hitting bottom than it might soften the sound . I know Home Depot sells rubber washer , I’ll try it this weekend .

Ok guys. I just let people know this morning that they could start to make payments towards the brackets. I haven’t even received the brackets yet so I cannot start shipping them until I receive them. Relax please. Haha

As far as orders that have been placed, some that haven’t started they have shipped yet may have actually already shipped and I just haven’t gotten around to updating the status yet. If that is the case, and you have purchased the bracket, when they do arrive, I can ship them when they arrive. I’m not really worried about it.

I’m sure it’s going to take getting to Friday and this weekend before I am able to get caught up on this thread. Just want to keep the communication out there so people know that I’m here. I also know that there are payments coming in because I do see the notifications going off. I just haven’t had the time to sit down and go through them all, but I will. I also want people to know that just because I ordered 100, I do have a backup of another 100 on standby

 

Ok...I know you are not the first and you will not be the last 2nd Gen to ask me this...I have looked into this and I wouldn’t be a posed to making a kit for the 2nd Gens. Maybe you can talk to your crew and see how many would be interested in ordering.
