    The only thing I replaced were the tweeters. I went with the plug n play kicker tweeters....

    Not on the factory amp. just the equilizer in the head unit. That's why I am running two amps. a stock amp for the speakers and a Kicker amp for my dual JL Audio subs.

    Figured i would share my Install with yall.... Sundown Xv.2 12inch (4Ohm) (Wired down to 2Ohm).....

    Helpful hint for anyone installing an amp in a 3rd gen tacoma with JBL; the the thin grey wire on the JBL Amp is the Power signal wire to tell the amp to turn on with the Radio.

    pull down the passenger side back seat and you will have to remove the plastic cover to see the amp and the sub and good luck replacing the amp tho. The Amp is a digital processor too so you can't use the radio volume control if the amp is not present.

    not true on the radio volume, you can bypass it and it works great. amp is next to the sub behind the pass seat.

    The AmpPro is the best way to go for our JBL system. It simplifies everything and makes your life so much easier. By chance do you remember exactly which wires ran to the tweeters, front 6x9's, and rear coax? I found a wiring outline at one point but I can't seem to find it

    the colors were correct to the diagram. But to double check just use a AA Battery to check polarity and that it’s the correct speaker (watch YouTube if you don’t know how to do it)
