    If you get another one try putting it on a hook and see if the fish will bite. If successful then your ready to go fishing....but stay away from the animals you might give them worms and that would cost a lot of money to get rid of it out of them....by the way maybe a stool sample to the vet and tell the vet it came from your dog and ask what is it?

    I don't think it would, the idea is to pull the string slowly because if the worm breaks off and falls back down it will grow back. It is just like a chamelons tail,pinch it off and it grows a new one.
