I can attest to this. The last couch was absolutely destroyed. So much so that no charity would take it so I had to take it to the dump.

The new couch however, if you find a tight weave or velvet, no patterns in the weave, ours cats (one specifically) can't get their claws into it.

I keep looking at that recent pic of Gizmo and can't believe his fur is becoming more brown and less black . I thought was from a vitamin deficiency but after talking with my Vet it not that

Some Maine Coons especially the ones with black fur or black smoke can change color . I remember seeing his Dad when I got him and his dad's coat had brown highlights . Gizmo's fur didn't start changing color until he was 3 years old and the color change has been very slow

Marty couldn’t grasp where the mouse went when it goes off screen. He thought it was going under the iPad and he destroyed the brand new table cloth my wife had just put on. He clawed it and chewed a big hole in it. New Easter table cloth in the garbage, marty’s back on his pizza box.
