Heading to Fruita / GJ for the first time this weekend. Any recommended camp areas, preferably that accommodate the tacoma and RTT? If those spots are scarce I'll just ground camp. I've come across what I assume are the standard areas such as Highline State Park, CO River State Park and Fruita Monument.

I was thinking of heading out Friday evening for Fruita if you wanted to meet up. 18 road has good camping and is a great riding zone, but gets busy on Easter weekend.

Gotta get a lap of Zippity Do Dah in. You'll never forget it!

Hot Tomato for pizza is a must, but come before 5 or call in an order. It gets hella busy.

    18 road:

Trying to talk the wife into letting me add an eBike to the stable. For the kids. And for research.

There's a few people here in SLC that use weehoo to pull their kids around. Upside is when they are without it, they have legs for days!

For sure man. I'm heading out pretty early Friday morning, but currently planning to stick around until Sunday. Cautionary note: I am wildly out of shape. I blame house projects which I see you will soon experience yourself. :) Congrats, by the way!!

Scratch that, I'll be out there Thursday night or Friday morning with a Sunday departure. Keep forgetting I have Good Friday off.

All good man, I'm just out for a a fun weekend of riding.

    Gonna be fantastic weather!

I'll likely be over Fruita-way either Sat or Sun (not sure which at the moment). Watch for a white REEB singlespeed.

Easter Jeep Safari is going on now so Moab is nuts. Fruita will be busy, too, but not EJS nuts. Just normal Front Ranger descending on the valley nuts.

Are you willing/wanting a commercial place with bathrooms? If you want to be over this way you could try the little place in town here.

I've been in the market for one as well. My budget is $1200-$1800. Hard to find anything decent that's used because they've become so popular.

I really want a 1x drivetrain, tubeless wheels/tires and thru-axle standards. Looks like SRAM Apex groupsets are pretty standard for my budget.

I think I've narrowed my choices down to the Norco Search XR ($1599), the Rocky Mountain Solo 30 ($1499) or the Marin Gestalt X10 ($1249). Leaning towards the Norco because their paint scheme matches my Cement Tacoma.

I am starting to wonder...will e-bikes be the future of trail rigs? Considering that you can always dumb down the assist, I feel like it might be inevitable after the community has enough to all convert...not gonna lie I sort of want one as well.

+1 to that. They do great work. I have an Avy cartridge and hydraulic anti-bottom in my Fox 34. Made a huge difference. Had them do their tune to my Fox Float CTD. Not night and day like the fork but still an nice improvement.

Finished staining with Cabot timber oil, let it cure for 24 hours and attached my fork mounts. One quick release and one thru-axle. The thru axle isn't as wide as my Spartan's hub (110x15mm) so I bought a multi pack of rubber hose gaskets to reduce the shake and movement and reduce wear and tear that would happen eventually from the 1cm difference in length. It's pretty sturdy.

Aluminum Chameleon; 1x drivetrain, tubeless tires, within budget, better resale, etc. but not a gravel bike per se, and might be just too much fun: https://fresno.craigslist.org/bik/d/fresno-2019-santa-cruz-chameleon-275/6867376815.html
