You know what they could've done instead of pulling Murray (which I don't think would be a good idea), maybe not pinch at the worst times ever (see Letang on 1st NYI goal), stop with the breakout that you try to gain speed in the neutral zone - when it isn't there - and just chip and chase instead, stop the east/west passing through 3 defenders in the o-zone. I would've tried all of those things before I blame the goalie (who played pretty good).

 

After talking insane trash all season just come in this thread and admit you were a moron and everything will be fine.

Kris Letang was a mess this entire series.

GMJR needs to clean up the horrid deals he’s made over the last two years and get back to what Crosby, Malkin, and Kessel excel with - fast skates. This team is not even close to the cup teams because of a few miserable trades.

 

I get you. I don't think the roster was too bad though. McCann and Bjugstad were additions that ended up better than I expected. Both are fast and play in a way that should be a good fit. Peterson was actually a good addition. I like the kid a lot. Gudbranson was a needed physical presence and actually was really good in all aspects. If he stays within his means, as far as skating, then he's fine. Honestly with the Pens philosophy (things I mentioned above), you could've made a fantasy team and still would've lost. They can't continue playing this same way, it won't work anymore. They need some structure and the speed will come. Less mistakes and you won't feed the opposition's game.

I love Letang but he's not as good as he thinks he is. He was hideous in last year's playoffs and had some costly turnovers that lost us at least 1 gm. And then 2 different times in this series at the worst possible times. You can't vacate and carry when 3 forwards are already trapped in the zone. And that is on the coach. He basically backed the pinching in that interview on the bench, right after Letang did that. So that tells me everything I need to know.

Toronto had a good game last time out and we dominated game two. I thought both teams were horrible game one. Two good teams who both want it. Should be a good one.

Hope there is something left for Columbus. That is going to be a tough series.

If the Bruins win the cup you can always fly to Boston. You know knock two things off your bucket list. Seeing the cup and having fresh lobster.

 

Been to Boston a few times to watch Yankees Red Sux games. Easily my least favorite city in the world

 

Been to way worse cities. Can’t beat Boston for sports though. Doesn’t matter what you say.

 

I seen the leafs in 10 different arenas and the Bruins downtown is great. Loved it

 

Damn, I have to watch the kids tonight so no hockey. The box score doesn’t look good.
