Just got my harness, much thanks to @1bad2k !! Install should be painless now. Wouldn’t even have tried to do the mod without it. Thanks to @Victory for making this possible!!

Glad you like it man! Definitely helps make this mod have a more "OEM feel" imo.

Finished my install today. Followed @ Victory instructions . I found it fairly easy. Pulling the wire boot made fishing the wire very easy.

Only thing I did not have on hand was the white grease . I used marine grease with Teflon. Hopefully that does not cause an issue.

I was very glad the wire bundle was easy to get too unlike my pop and lock install.

    What else can we modify!!

    Fun Saturday.

    Thank you @Victory

Waiting to see an install tutorial when the 2020 Tacoma parts become available (new truck now has passenger door keyless entry)... should make the install easier?

It won’t make it easier- might make it look cleaner and more professional but will certainly cost more to buy more factory wiring parts. If you really spend the big money you can buy the factory ECU and have the passenger door function seperate from the drivers door.
Either way it won’t make it easier (unless your just trading in for a 2020) and will make it more expensive if you are buying more factory parts.

Just completed installing. Pretty easy except the door boot. If you follow the directions throughout this post, anyone could do it. Thanks OP and everyone else who supplied their experiences.

The vehicle owner's manual mentions either door. but only shows driver's, OP got what was intended and now an add-on in the newer model.

Now that I have my passenger door sensor installed I wish it would reach to the tailgate. I hate getting my remote out to open it. Gettin lazy.

At least the sensor. I’m sure somebody out there can make a way to mount the sensor to the tailgate. If only the signal would reach.

Next person that does an install, run a paired wire thru the opened rear window up to the tailgate and do a test...:notsure:

The sensor is also the antenna, so signal will reach anywhere the sensor sensor or handle is installed.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it won't work for me. Checked the correct wiring and taps. Tried to even reverse the polarity to make sure everything was set up right. All doors set to unlock. Drivers side still works.
