This is true, with the padlock on there it’s oretty darn secure. I’ll just have to remember to lock the cap window. Maybe rig something up to where I can padlock the tailgate from the inside, if I need it a little more secure

Ask @Chux or stalk his build thread. He did that exact thing. But not pvc I don’t think.

Ditch it. For the Tacoma’s they are more for looks imo. For my 4runner it’s wayyy more functional because I have a place for a full size spare and the table gives me a tailgate if needed. For you wheeling and not DDing your truck then a bed mounted spare is the best option especially since you ditched most of your drawer system and can just rearrange the set up if needed.

My thoughts as well, and what I was talking to joe and Tyler about. For a 4runner they’re pretty much a must. A tacoma, not so much. That’s not to say they’re all a waste, as some builds really benefit from them or genuinely need them, but really thinking about it I don’t think I’m one of those builds.

Yeah you don’t spend weeks at a time off exploring or off the grid so you can afford to sacrifice some bed space to a spare. Seems to me like you’ve made your mind up.

If you were more in favor of keeping it then you wouldn’t have asked us to convince you that getting rid of it is a good idea. :anonymous::D

Haha exactly. I knew which way I was leaning but wanted to bring it to the group so see if I was missing something glaringly obvious. You guys have brought up excellent points about things in the past that I totally missed.

Found them. Those will work perfectly! I originally tried quickfists but too small

Know the feeling. I like to bring everything to a vote to either convince me or talk me out of something. Y’all have saved me from wasting my money plenty of times.

I have one and it’s now my favorite shirt. Good call on having joe make them. He’s gonna have some hats for sale soon too

Psh, good luck. But he could probably be swayed since you sent him flowers.
