Speaking of rust.. I took all 6 T55 bed bolts out tonight, wire brushed them, and never seized the hell out of them. The back ones I could hit with fluid film from below were ok, the front ones were pretty rusty and put up a fight the whole way out

Mirror bracket is the best bang for the buck / most effective real world mod you can do to these trucks, imo

Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
Continued on with the drawer slides. Time to put the access ports into the front corners.

    Started off with this.
    IMG_20190414_120542_zpsk6kayq8x_a1f09ad86e7a0e4842600390f6744244cc2cf8ba.jpg

Busted out the 5in hole saw and went to town... Then things went sideways. My replacement battery for my drill shorted somehow and caused my drill to catch fire in my hand. Needless to say, both the battery pack and drill are now dead. So off to Home Depot to buy a new drill. Ryobi products have always served me well so a Ryobi drill it is. Back from Home Depot and back to cutting the holes.
    IMG_20190415_182502_zpsxu822bvk_be2c25d4cd38b99ac7f0ce525ab3287e484ef26a.jpg

Saved the cut-out material as it will become a plug for the hole once I install some bracing underneath. Anywho, took the material removed and sanded both it and the edges of the hole it came from down with 80 then 120 grit. Recoated the circle with new Flex Seal and wrapped the edge with electrical tape. This serves a few purposes. Firstly, it takes up some space from the sawing and makes it a tighter fit. Secondly, it will prevent rattling.
    IMG_20190417_165955_zpsorovrt2g_ba48995ef0fb625c6726e4272c37932c848ce841.jpg

Cut some small blocks of wood, screwed them into the underside of the deck as a support structure and also painted the exposed wood in the hole.... Bam! Done.

Now I have access to all parts underneath the deck. I have full storage and am able to adjust the turnbuckles as need be. Project complete!

Changed a little something on the intake. Seen on here a couple weeks ago and thought I would give it a try. No inner fenders and a lot of water makes the stock intake gargle... No thanks
We will see how I like this.

I like being 5'10". That's a tall person's mod... mirror has never bothered me. The unlit door buttons on the other hand...

Finally got my Plano case mounted on up onto my rack. I was going to try to make sone fancy quick release thing but it would have been a pain in the ass and I bagged the idea. 1/4" carriage bolts, some rubber washers, 1" flat washers and wingnuts.

    0417191926_HDR.jpg

It also cleared the garage door which was a huge relief so I don't have to take it on/off every time I want to run with it. Just load and unload I guess.
