What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Did the exact same thing today. Mine doesn't clear the garage door, so I have to remove it if I want to park in the garage.

 

I don't know anything about 3D printing, but couldn't you just print the stock type tabs onto the back of your piece so it snaps in like the original? Maybe not...just a thought.

Second smaller awning installed.



6’x8’ off the side and 4’x6’ off the back. The new one should keep the tailgate dry while camping.

 

Changed clutch, bearings seal and had the flywheel turned. Also returned my Cobra LX29 as the antenna hookup was loose out of the box and the locking washer was not flush and was sticking out.ill just go with the little Cobra 75 now instead of a full size.

Technically installed the new grille and headlights late last night, but needed the morning to come around for a good picture. Bought the gen 3 style grille and Raptor lights from Amazon, and the Spyder headlights from Tacomabeast.com. Still need to wire the raptor lights and halos tonight.

 

I got both the cap and the plate. Works like a charm.

When I have to take my skids off I use a floor jack when putting them back on. That way i can raise them up, position them, and get the hardware in without having to hold them.

 

just curious if you ever test ur oil to see what its doing as far as protecting ur engine?

 

Nope, never had any issues with my vehicles, a couple of high mileage jeeps before this. Currently driving with 41,000 miles. Maybe get it tested around 100,000. Didn't know you could back in the day.

 

I just received my AFE scoop. Just ordered the rest of the pieces yesterday. Awesome to hear.

 

I'm 6'6" and have zero issue with my stock mirror location (and I have the electrochromatic mirror).

TBH, I've read quite a few people having their mirror button break off their glass due to an unbalanced weight/stress on the mirror. I don't want a "simple and effective mod" to possibly lead to a windshield replacement.
