Reason #1 not to have the mat, although I will probably get one eventually for the times where it sucks having it slide all around. For instance it would've been nice going to trout camp. I didn't have enough to fill the bed, so the cooler slid the whole time. Shaken beer when you reach the final destination is a NOGO.

I've never not tied my cooler down. I guess I'm oldschool and grandpa always taught me to secure my load.

Also why I don't have kids.

got lazy in the moment. I was the only one not to be able to get off early and head out. Since I have a cap, I chanced it. It was empty for 90% of the trip. The last 10 miles were enough to shake it up though. That's what you get for piss poor planning though.

Does anyone know of a good shop in PA, I’m looking to get a rear bumper with a swing out. I still want to be able to use my factory hitch . I’ve been looking through post and haven’t been able to find much just so I don’t make myself look like a fool or beat a dead horse.

Why the attachment to the factory hitch? Most shops that make bumpers integrate the hitch so it doesn't hang down.

Most aftermarket options are not rated for towing as stringently as the factory one.
If your doing a lot of towing then that’s an important factor.
@Skell knows what he’s doing with a welder, I’m sure he can come up with something.

Yup. While they are likely stronger than the factory, small shops aren't going to pay out the money for an official test saying it's good for x amount of lbs towing.

Before I bought the 4xI bumper for my truck, Adam posted a video of them testing the bumper and the machine broke at something like 12k lbs with the bumper still just sitting there. But, it was just for show and not an official test.

    Meh.

I better mow my lawn today, if not they're calling for a good 10 days of rain/showers before I get to it again.
