Boston a great sports town. I’m glad they have won some championships lately I was sick of hearing the crying from when I was a kid. The only thing I haven’t seen up there is a Pats game.

I think the.biggest misconception is that Boston fans are just fans of Boston sports. The city of Boston has a huge amount of transplants and are sports fans in general. Personally I grew up watching the Sox and Bruins, but I grew up as a braves, a's and islander fan as well. Also liked NJ in the Marty days. Patrick Roy was a dink but I loved seeing play later with the Aves.

It's a classic case of don't believe everything the media portrays something as. Most new England fans live out of the State of Massachusetts and have more cows than people for neighbors. How bad can we really be ?

Bad, just bad lol. I will always have a special hate on for the Bruins, Celtics, Bosox, and Pats. It’s nothing personal, I’d love to visit Boston one day for the historical sites and such, but for whatever reason I feel zero love for those teams. Probably because my uncle, whose an absolute ass, is an obnoxious Bruins fan (to the point where he used to call us to let us know when the Bruins won and I wish I was kidding.) The Celtics... I actually just don’t care about Basketball. In this era the Jays will always suck 90% of the time because they simply can’t or won’t spend like the Yankees and Bosox, so there is hate there too. The Pats, lets be honest, everyone except Patriots fans hate them lol.

:notsure: sorry about your uncle ?

I dunno. Pat's are what they are. Not the biggest football fan. But I lose respect in most debates when the redsox or Bruins are painted as doing anything more obscene than the rest of the leagues. Celtics I have no horse in.

They’re not obscene at all, I have zero problems with their fans or their city. Sometimes there are just teams you love to hate but respect their accomplishments all the same.

That really hasn't been a thing since he first came into the league. Then I could understand that argument but in the last 5-7 years, if you say that it is based more on past/habit than anything he has done on the ice lately. But you are entitled to your opinion regardless.

Calgary though, wow. Not looking good. I agree @Sterdog their big guns do fade at key times. I like SM and JG though, but it is true.

Only got to see half of the Bos/Tor game. Glad Matthews got another goal(s). McAvoy was awesome too.

People just want to hate on the best player in the game. Screw em.

I still can’t get over this talk of people thinking Sullivan needs to go based off bad deals by GMJR (with Brassard being the single biggest bust and talent drain).

Sullivan should definitely be fired... So the Sabres can hire him.

I wouldn't fire Sulli, but I don't think he can go w/o a bit of the blame. He is very stubborn w/ how he wants the team to play and it just isn't working. The team plays way too loose for my liking. But I have faith that he can tighten things up and have them playing a bit more structured.

As far as GMJR, he certainly has made some questionable moves but I think he made a lot of things right, by season's end. Pettersson was a great addition. Gudbranson was nice too. McCann and Bjugstad ended up really working out. I think McCann w/ some extended time in the top 6 really could fit right in. Get Simon out of the f'ing top 6.

I hate to think that way but I agree. That dude was such a beast when he came into the league. He's really smart and positionally he is very good. But he has a very slow first step and in general just gets walked way too often. I don't know if something happened but I don't remember that happening w/ him early on? And it's not like he's old lol.

I think of him like Jason Bay from the early 2000 Pirates. Talented, likable, but utterly unpredictable.
