Don't think it does. No first-hand experience, but those are two separate components. A ripped/sun baked travel cover doesn't need the new lower zipper. I was surprised at how cheap the lower zipper portion was though, compared to most of the other replacement parts.

I was so excited to get it back then the ruler (the girlfriend) decided after 1 trip out it wasn't going to work for our needs because of the pup, and her inability to hold her bladder for a full night...

thought I was being the good guy with the "glamping" setup...but she wants to ground tent.

now that they make super nice instant tents pretty affordable (compared to RTTs) I'm fine with it.

What about when she changes her mind, and rolls over onto a rock or a worm? Back up you go!

My friend has an Oz tent. Its 9 ft long, so she had to buy a full length roof rack to store up there, on her 4runner. Cant keep inside.

Can she sleep in the bed with the dog, and you sleep in a trailer with A/C and satellite TV?

Well if you still want that Overlander price, I'd recommend getting into Japanese "Snow Peak Way" glamping.
