Hey did you ever hear about how to mount these without drilling them? Or does that mean just strapping it to the roof and losing the ability to open/ close without removing the straps?

I have a pelican 1750 case mounted to my Front Runner roof rack, I carry Jumper cables, Two tool kits, Hammer, pliers, small ziplock bags, and I try to keep a spare set of headlight bulbs. I like how low profile this case is compared to some others, I would like to get another one for the other side of the rack to hold other things like recovery gear, and camp equipment. Sorry no pics of it open

have you guys seen the RTIC gun cases yet? i got 2 43" ones in tan to match the truck. they're pretty rugged, on the same level as the pelicans in my opinion. ill post pics once i mount them tomorrow.

I made brackets for mine and drilled through the feet on the bottom of the case. So the actual shell of the case hasn't been compromised. I lost the normal pic, so here's a pic of my post on IG kinda showing it .

I ended up drilling 4 x 1/4" holes into the case, and used 2" steel and 2" rubber washers with a 1/4" wing nut. so far so good, one cruise down the freeway this am with a good rain to test the case. all dry on the inside. my bro said he could manufacture covers for the wing nut on the inside, and when i take them down, another set of plugs to fill the 1/4" holes.

Could be a pelican 1750, or basically any kind of quicksand color rifle case.

Yeah, I am assuming its a Pelican 1750 but was trying to determine the length because I was looking at the RTIC 53" case. I think the 1750 is 50" so just trying to gauge if 53" would be too long. I think the Prinsu is about 58" long from mounting bars so should be just fine.
