What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Dupi-Color Paint/Underciating sprays out in fine mist that enables you to use a few twos/three coats. I would sand it down, then hit it with some sort of cleaner to get any of the leftover dust off.
Let dry then apply,’stay about 1’ away and keep your hand moving ina sweeping motion.

@Omizee Did you paint or vinyl your dash trim? I tried plasti-dip but can't get clean lines when peeling off the tape, so my next try is vinyl. Trying to go with a non-permanent solution before going with paint.

 

Plasti-Dip..peeling off the tape? I think you are doing something wrong. you shouldn't need any tape with Plasti-Dip. If you are painting those two trim pieces on the dash you can simply pop them off and paint them without using any tape. @NIU_Huskies

 

@ORNG TACO I did pop them off, but how do you not get plasti-dip sprayed on areas you don't want without taping off those areas? I'm using Go Mango orange, but have to apply white first because the factory dark grey shows through the orange.

 

The headliner on my 2017 Access Cab is pulling way from the trim. I am at the dealership now. They are looking at it. Have any of you experienced a similar problem ?

Put on a faux grille (I know kinda played out but u don’t see them around here) and painted the tow hook dingus.

Unpopular opinion. I know the scoop is fake.

I keep seeing people installing the Meso domes. Are you guys ordering them somewhere else, or have you just ordered them in the past and just now getting around to putting them on? I ask because I want some badly, but can't catch them in stock.

 

My truck will tell me I made 21 on a trip and fuelly will tell me I made 17.1. The truck system is not super accurate lol.

 

Just updated the original post to include hardware. Not terribly specific, but you’ll see the reasoning for that in the post. Bolt lengths will differ. The important pieces are the threaded shaft collars. All of this can be found at a local hardware store.

 

I cannot wait to tell the service advisor tomorrow not to bother rotating my tires that only have about 2,000 miles on them as I show him the key and slip it in my front bibs pocket. LOL!
