2011 Tacoma stock stereo/deck.

I've got a 2011 Tacoma TRD Sport. I believe starting in 2012 that the Tacoma may have had a nav screen and Bluetooth option or was it 2013? Either way, my friend's 2015 dash looks the same and and it's got the screen and Bluetooth.

My question is, what would a good place to look for newer deck that will plug right in and fit like stock? Will it just plug and play? Is it worth it? Or would a cheap aftermarket deck be the way to go? Thanks!

 

Aftermarket is typically the way to go. Radio's are getting so cheap with tons of features these days.

One factor that will determine parts pricing will be if you have the factory JBL system. If you don't, all parts will be cheap. If you do, your wiring harness will be a bit pricey.

My go-to recommendation for clients is the Pioneer AVH-2550NEX. Has Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto, get sound quality, decent EQ, all the basics. And runs on sale a lot.

Pricing would look something like this

Radio - $350
Harness - $16
Mounting Kit - $50
Labor - Free currently at BestBuy with purchase of $100+ radios

Add in $87 if you have steering wheel controls for volume and all that and want to retain them.
