Cement paint job on a first gen PICS!

Black wheels would have to go. Needs some chrome or alum wheels to accent.

The more I look at this the more it looks like destroyer or leadfoot grey and less like cement

this truck honestly looks like they laid down a base coat and didn't apply clear over it.

 

Maybe they were blind and wanted to paint by feel?

 

I mean, if you're going for a braille-style paint job... more power to ya I guess

 

If most people knew what a proper paint job costs they'd shit. A complete color change and they'd shit even more

Rattle cans pretty much suck for automotive body paint. One would be better off going to Tractor Supply and getting foam brushes and tractor paint in a can.

 

I just got quoted $1100 to paint the roof, the hood, driver side door and passenger fender. If I had the money I’d love to paint it a darker grey but I really don’t feel like dropping $10k for a paint job on a 15 year old truck

My favorite color . Scion cement grey .I painted my caddy with it

 

There was a 1st gen who had a cement color. Didn't look bad.

Did you ever get around to wrapping the truck? I was looking into wrapping mine that color as well, but i haven't seen any 1st gens in that blue.

 

No wraps, I figure I'd just let the sun do its thing. The hood is damaged and so is the roof. Oh well, it's a truck not a showroom vehicle
