Mine are at 35 psi. Do I need to go to 40 psi? Will that help?

I spoke with my wife on the way home and she told me to do what I feel is right. I do not want to come off any more money so that may be a factor in me just keeping these and dealing with it!

I am a teacher so I have been off for the past two months. I think I am going to keep the tires till at least Sunday as I will still have time to trade if needed. Now that I am in a regular routine of driving maybe that will help out the mileage some. I was averaging 3 miles per day on my truck with a few 70 mile trips thrown in a few times. I will fill up again on Sunday and see what happens then.

 

I guess I am just tired of this tire switching. I will see what happens this weekend. We may be going to Atlanta and that will be a good indicator!

I don't think it is an installation problem. What could it possibly be? Doesn't make sense?

 

Mine make a slight hum, but nothing that you can't get used to. Even with the tunes on at a reasonable level, you cannot hear the tires. I would just forget about it and get used to it.

Well you have needed a lot of hand-holding over these tires .

 

Here is the tire I run. They are the super quiet, handle outstanding in rain or on dry roads, they have insane tread life, and a warranty for like 70,000 miles.

They are not cheap, but you won't be disappointed. I would buy these tires again in a minute. Admittedly it does not have an aggressive look, but its not really an off road tire. Honestly I don't off road with my truck so this works for me.

Here is a pic of them on my truck. After owning these for over 6k thats my report. I would not consider any other tire. I have free lifetime rotation and balance at Discount tire.

Is your truck lifted? Mine are louder now that my truck was lifted again since I put them on. I think it has something to do with the alignment. Just my .02

 

I've had my 265/70/17 Duratracs for about three weeks and I don't think they're very loud at highway speeds overall I'm very happy with them just waiting to see how long they last.

i love my dynapros i can barely hear them over other noises 31's and over 20mpg (3.4L)

 

Look at the Sport King A/T. I have run this tire on all of my trucks, and have got great service from them. Now i don't go on the trails but i do go off road a little hunting etc etc. From what i put these tires through ( mud and snow) they pull good and get great wear. They are quiet on the highway to.

 

I have the same duratracs. I have the hum but NO loss of mpg. Wonder why your truck lost it and mine didn't?

Why would you buy aggressive all terrains if you cared about the hum?

I love my Duratracs. They are louder then the stock tires that came with the truck but I actually like the sound they make. My only minor grip is they like to throw rocks like crazy.
