    Hi All,

I am usually pretty good at finding and fixing the lil squeaks and creaks in the cab of my 2013 DCSB TRD OR, but this one alludes me. It sounds like two metal pieces rubbing ever so slightly together, a small bird chirping off in the distance.

Its a faint squeak from what seems to come from anywhere along the A pillar all the way down to the kick panel by my left foot, sometimes it sounds like it comes from behind the steering wheel, sometimes from the driver door.... its faint so its hard to pin point, especially considering I need to be moving to hear it. Its not RPM related, nor is it speed related.

I went under the dash / steering wheel area and touched anything i could, nothing made any sound like it. I pulled apart the driver door, tightened any bolt / screw i could get my paws on last night, no change. Tightened seat mount bolts as well... still there.

No changes have been made to the truck as of recent...... im gonna go crazy(er) people!

Clean and lube the door seals.

definitely not the door seals, i know that sound and recently lubed the door seals. This is a metal on metal sounding squeak.

    I spray the hinges down.

Try closing the door with a dryer sheet on the latch and see if that changes anything? One of my buddies dad is a body guy and I saw him track down a door squeak with this trick.

I got the same squeak after hitting a massive pothole. I always co dition my door seals and lube hinges due to my OCD. Squeak is still there. I've learned to ignore it. I never went deep on checking where it's coming from because it sounds like it's under the dash.

WD40 Dry Lubricant (not the regular stuff) is my best friend for things like this, I keep a can of it in my truck at all times. I would just start spraying everywhere you can within reason in that area with the stuff. Works for my squeaky fender, roof rack mounts, doors, leaf spring bushings, shock bearings, etc.

Worn cab mounts? Rad bushing mounts? Think my cab mounts are chirping. Have a light clunk from the passenger side too. Been chasing it for awhile. Just grabbed some replacement cab mounts from energy suspension. I'll update you if it solves the chirp/clunk.
    Any updates on your issue?

There's a lot of plastic overlapping joints all through that area with pieces held by screws and/or snaps. If it bothers you enough start pulling everything from the A-pillar cover down to the kick panel looking for loose screws.

Had a bad rattle in my 1st gen. I asked on the forums here and guys said it might be my dash rubbing windshield. I pressed my dash mat along the windshield and no more noise. Plastic rubbing can sound like all different noise. I could have sworn I had a nut slapping against the inside of my air bag compartment. It would come and go. Always showed up after travel on dirt roads. Nearly drove me bat shit.
