You can't get the 6 turbo in a manual!! That one had me scratching my head.

Anyways the little 1.5 definitely punches far above its weight totally bone stock. The powerband is wild, 192 pound feet from 2100 RPM all the way up to 5000 RPM.

Nice man. Just giving you a hard time. At least your turbo car isn't going to be a total money pit. Lol

Haha I figured as much. But for real I was really surprised myself.

I am kinda miffed they tire shined my wheels though.

The one I am actually going to twist their arm on is the tint job was halfassed. Some bubbles and a crinkle on the edge, plus clearly not having been wiped down after the squeegee. Salesman tried to say “oh all tint jobs have some bubbles” o_O:rolleyes:

@snowsk8air2 hey do the rear seats fold flat in the T4R? It's way too soon but really thinking about a t4r more and more. If the seats fold flat and I can sleep back there that may be the final convincing I need. The thought of driving to a trailhead at night and sleeping in the back to get an early start is compelling. Beats the heck out of setting up camp just to sleep a few hours especially if the weather sucks. Plus I just like the look of them.

Basically gonna be between that or a 2020/21 taco when my lease is up. Doing some rough math a t4r pro is not much more than a trd offroad plus good camper shell to give me the covered sleeping option.

I'm really curious to see if 6th gen t4r will be out or at least announced by then.

Flat, not quite, but it is close. There is a small hump where the seat hinges and then it is still slightly inclined. If you tag me again tomorrow around 5, I can fold one flat and get a pic for reference. The single side cable came undone on ours and I need to pull the seat apart to put it back in place.

Could you sleep in the back, yes and the small hump would be less concerning so long as you were 6’ tall or less, or if you were alone.

That said if you went with a long bed taco and camper shell, I helped a buddy with one and have seen some awesome sleeping accommodations with a mattress above the wheel wells, carpeted plywood frame, drawers and storage pockets in front and behind the wheel wells. Buddy had his made and I helped wire up a secondary battery and inverter in the storage areas. Nice setup, easy-ish to build and would be way more comfortable than the t4r

Spent more time cleaning nuts, bolts and heat shields. Getting pretty tired of grime.

    Per google:

As someone that is 5’6”, I could sleep comfortably in the back of a runner. 6’ tall, not so much.

I would think sleeping diagonal could work pretty well if needed for a 6' person. The backseat of my 95' runner was more than adequate in my high school girlfriend days although Im just shy of 5'11.

Yeah at 6'2 I'd be diagonal which is ok, it is not a full on camping set up just those times I need to get an early start and decide to sleep at the TH. From the looks of it my inflatable air mattress would actually fit in there which is a bonus

Im not familiar with the latest version of runner, but my old one we could fudge a few more inches simply by moving the seat forward all the way and then letting the rest shift just slightly a little more. Not too noticeable, but if you are trying to get another inch it might be enough.

Diagonal would work if sleeping alone. Ryan used to sleep in the back of a third gen runner and he’s 6’. Think he used a twin size mattress or something.

I sleep on my side and curled up so I’d be comfy. But short life.

I drive around with my seats down. I never use the backseat and lots of transporting of 37s lately. Can take pics or experiment if needed.

Thanks not too worried about it at the moment just an idea kicking around in my head. My truck is still <1 yr old and just cracked 6k miles so will be at least another 18 months before I really start looking at making any changes.

Also thanks, it is still on the wifes short list of vehicles for herself in the next year too. There is definitely advantages and disadvantages to each vehicle. And who knows my needs during the AZT and then after the AZT might be completely different.
