That would be great. I know this crew and there will be millions of ?'s. I guessing this will be the same layout, just for Gen2, will it be the same price? that will get me started and I can have them look at this thread for more info. About how many would you need to make it worth your time?

How far out are we looking for the new bracket? I sent payment (because I haven't installed my recently delivered lock), but if it's gonna be a while, I may request a refund and just install the old way...

Just sent you $30 payment (via PP gift) for “Bolt-N-Lock Bracket & Rod”.

Bought for full back in Feb.

 

I can answer #2 the bracket makes the actuator and rod level with the lock cylinder. This way there are no bends need in the rod .

 

Q2) Does bracket make the actuator sit on even level? So no bending needed.
A2) From what I've seen in the photos, the bracket does make the actuator sit more even with the lever that it's moving and it includes a rod that is already bent into the proper positions. Since the bracket is constantly known anchor point, they can do this. On the previous version, you had to bend the rod based on where you actually anchored the actuator.

A2) I don't have an effective answer for you. But for me personally, I want the noise so that I can hear it from the driver's door to be able to know that it locked.

 

I got mine in the mail the other day, but I was out of town. I am HOPING to get it installed this weekend...IF the rain holds out.

 

It is level and I’m not sure how you would use the rubber spacer and I did the same. I didn’t get them last week but I’ve had them for a little while just because I wanted to see what all the talk was about. Good think they aren’t expensive

Opening the tailgate makes more noise than the actuator. I think unlocking with the key is noisier.
