Anyone here remember the Energy crisis of 1979 when you had huge lines at gas stations . You also had odd / even days with red/green flags and depending on your license plates last number when you could get gas or not that particular day

I'm 58. I was 40 when I walked into Putnam Toyota in Burlingame, Ca. saw my baby still up on the car carrier with the diapers and plastic still on it, pointed at it and said "that one's mine".
    That was a fun day:)

I remember back in 1984 when I bought my 1982 Toyota SR5 long bed 4x4 P/up from the dealer . It had only 12k miles on it

Love it man, my first truck was a 91 s-10 inherited from my grandpa. Such a great little truck! That 4.3l v6 was actually a pretty sweet little engine.

I'm 29 btw. Clingin on to my 20's as hard as I can!

I remember running out of gas many times waiting in those long lines and pushing my car 2 blocks just to get a few gallons

Chances are he/she shouldn't be behind the wheel....

Half the time I see someone on the road doing something dumb that could get someone seriously hurt, it's a really elderly looking person that looks like they have no business being behind the wheel. Just last month I was walking across a 4 way intersection and an elderly man drove his sedan right into my knees, luckily he hit the brakes as he hit me. Pushed me onto his hood. He acted like he didn't see me and drove away like nothing happened.
