I bought this Tacoma about 6 months ago and have just realized that the rear end looks like it is lower than the front end. Is this normal? Could the previous owner have wanted the back end lower than the front? IMO I want to level it out, with any recommendations anyone has on products. Or maybe it is just my horrible eyes that think the rear end is lower.

Stock should have the rear slightly higher than the front.
Either thats not stock, or its got the worst leafpack ive seen

Welcome to the site. Most likely the front end has been leveled and rear looks to be sagging a little or sitting on the bump stops. Take a picture so we can see. Top of the coils to see if there's any spacers and rear axle and leafs where the bump stops are. Then we can tell you for sure.

Congrats on the new-to-you truck OP! Let us know if the suspension has been changed out and post pictures of the front and rear suspension.

Here is a few pictures I took. First picture is up front. Last two are from the rear. I might need to take better pictures, but let me know what you think.

From what I can see is that the front has a spacer lift which is that metal piece showing the bolt thread and nut just right after the rubber piece above the coil. Hard to tell how much lift. If you measured the metal piece itself and multiply by 2, that will tell you how much lift you're getting.

On the rear is a little bit more difficult to tell but judging from leaves being straight, that looks to be the TSB (technical service bulletin) stock upgraded leaf pack. The 3+1 replaces the 2+1 older leaf pack. First number is the leaves plus the overload leaf. If you're satisfied with the ride and do not want to spend a lot of $, the easiest fix to buy 1" block and longer u-bolts to raise the rear. A second option is either remove the spacers up front or get a 1.5" add a leaf to the rear. Keep in mind the rear will be easier to work on than the front.

    Hope that helps.

Why is there oil all over everything? Have you sprayed the frame with something or is there a leak? Is it raining there maybe?

This was just after I washed it, I had to get as much mud off as I could to take decent pictures.

Thanks for the input! I'll price some stuff out from my local shop and see what I can get for a decent price.
    Thanks Again!

Ah I see. I have the three leaf progressive add a leaf on that type of leaf pack and I got 1 1/2 " of lift over stock without the overload. Fairly cheap, easy to install and should bring you back to level if not a little rake. The ride is good and you can leave in the overload for an additional 1/2 " of lift. This works out well if you don't have a cap and/or other constant weight in the back. That should be all you need. That way you don't have to fool around with the front end and get it realigned, assuming you are not having any trouble with the front lift as it is.

Edit: I forgot to mention that if you lift the rear, you will need longer rear shocks, 5100's or similar so it may then be cheaper to lower the front if you are on a budget.

Yeah I am thinking I am going to go with the AAL in the rear. Yes it rides good as it is, I just don't like the sagging rear end.
Any recommended brands, or brands to stay away from in your opinion?

I bought mine used so I'm not sure where it came from originally. Check for threads about the "three leaf progressive add a leaf" on this forum. There are good vendors referenced that can supply them under a few brands.
