3 degrees is considered the most universal for these trucks. I needed them for my 2" aal as well. I went with Wheelers aluminum shims, as they bolt in using the center pin of the leaf pack. Pretty fail safe design.

Truck is in the shop after a wheel fell off on the highway.

Anyway, they said if I can get the shims to them tomorrow morning they'll throw them on for me. Anyone know of a place that might have them on a shelf near phoenix?

Only ones I could find close by are at 4wheelparts and they're only 2.5* shims. Hoping that's enough to take care of the damned rattle.
$34, but it beats the hell out of messing with the drive shaft. Fingers crossed!

That sucks.. how did the wheel fall off? Hope everyone was ok
Sorry can't help. not local to the area but 2.5 degrees is much better than nothing.

Worse case you're out $34, just will need to get 3 degree or 4degree down the road..
Get steel shims though NOT aluminum!!

Brake masters did not torque the lug nuts off. I have video of it in my thread. Everyone's okay, thank you. Luckily I was able to get to the side of the road in time and almost stop.

Why not aluminum? Not sure what these are, but they're the only ones within range.

oh wow yea I saw that footage in the other post, didn't realize it was same OP hah that's crazy..

Aluminum is super soft compared to steel and will mold over time. Read up on some threads I'm sure there's more info on it.
Especially in such a critical area with lots of forces and truck weight.

Ah that makes sense. Hopefully it's steel, but if not it'll at least buy me some time. I won't be able to work on the truck for a while with a move coming up.

    Thanks!
