Sorry I don't know the difference. I know I bought the leaf packs before the new leaf packs were available for the 3rd gen. I also removed the long overload leaf. Hope this helps.

20190413_115244.jpg 20190413_115327.jpg 20190413_115353.jpg Hey Guys, I am new here and got a question, So I had my local dealer install the OMETAC16MKSB LIFT on my New 19 sport DLBCB and got a super deal on the lift. Like a dummy I cant remember the measurements before the lift but do know I had over a inch in factory rake but after the lift I only have 1/2 in of rake. I thought this lift would give me 2 or 2.5 all around, I would like to have more rake than I got.
I don't know much about lifts but I'm learning :) . So they installed the leaf packs ELO95R. Just thought I would keep my factory rake with this lift. I will take pics and post when I get a chance.
    ANY thoughts ??
    Thanks

I’m getting my 2018 double cab OR lifted with the kit but I’m a bit unclear on the 2887 coil springs vs. the 2888. I know that the 2887 is rated as ‘stock’ and according to the shop’s quote, that’s what they’re using. However, I’d like for a medium load rating, so should I ask them to switch to the 2888s? What is the exact difference? Does it affect ride quality? Will it cost more to go to the 2888s? Thank you for your help.

I spoke a bit with the shop that'll be working on my truck regarding the difference between 2887 coils vs. 2888s. They recommend going with 2887 unless I plan on putting a front bumper or winch on the front, otherwise, 2888s are a stiff ride. They also mentioned that if I do put a bumper/winch on later, it's an easy swap for the higher payload rated springs. I'll post some pics at the end of the week when it's done!

If I remember correctly, the 2887 and 2888 have the exact same spring rate but the 2888 is 5mm taller, which in turn gives you a little more pre-load. It all depends on how much lift you are looking for and your future plans. There are tons of guys on here with double cabs running the 2888s with the stock weight up front and don't complain about the ride being rough. I personal went with the 2887s because i was told the 2888s would provide too much lift for my stock weight access cab. I think if i were to do it again i would go with the 2888s.

    Edit:

    Here are the coil specs.
    • OME 883: 375mm in height, 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 884: 390mm in height 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 885: 395mm in height 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 886: 402mm in height 660 pound spring rate
    • OME 887: 400mm in height 590 pound spring rate
    • OME 888: 405 mm in height 590 pound spring rate

Hi everyone, looking at the 888 kit with LR UCA's and the Medium Dakars. Does this ride extremely stiff on the street with no additional weight up front compared to stock TRD OR or would it be pretty comparable?

I have that exact setup and my wife says it rides a little more stiff but I don't notice a real difference. Maybe it is less noticeable for me since I am holding onto the steering wheel?

I feel it rides like a truck but I do see how it could be a little softer. Our roads are not the best so I do tend to feel the bumps but it does not bother me.

Yup. I was in decision mode a few months ago as well. If I had the cash I would go with King’s for a buttery ride but for my budget it was the best option.

So reading around I am really leaning towards this OME setup. I have an 18 sport that I will offroad with occasionally but dont plan any big weight in. The back. I hope to add a slim line bumper at some point down the road. I want to get as close as I possibly can to a full 3" lift. What would be the proper part selection to achieve that?

I’m no expert, but I think you want the 2888 springs to get closer to the 3”. I don’t think it will get there entirely, but it’s the closest you’ll get with this setup. There are many other members on here who can provide more accurate info however.

Anyone run the bp51 kit after the nitrocharger and could provide a comparison?

The slimline bumper does add some weight up front, and also depends if you get a winch. 2888 or 2886 are your options if you want close to 3”.

Well done--I'm jealous. Wish I had the coin to drop on some serious suspension.
