The games are the shit. You get to see all the greats and meet em, test out new equipment/food and they have good beer. The scenery ain't half bad either. Not sure how it's going to be at a stadium though, I was lucky to get to the farm

:annoyed:I can't watch at work. Don't have the latest flash version and can't download/install. :pout:

If anyone is there, make sure to say hello to the folks from my gym competing.

the games have been awesome. i live just a few miles away from the home depot center. the games have brought in a bunch of people from all over the country and even the world to our little gym. its been cool just to meet all these new people and to have new people to compete with.

other than the games, i just got a 4:55 fran. gonna give it a few weeks and try it again. really pushing for sub 4 on fran. my buddy(who also happens to be one of the gym owners) just did a 2:46 fran. perfect form and reps. was friggin amazing to watch. anyways guys keep it up.

Wish i could have gone to watch. My box had 2 individual, 1 masters, and one team in the competition. The 2 individuals didn't make the top 24 cut and just missed by a few spots. The masters individual tore his bicep during the max deadlift and couldn't finish. The team finished 10th overall. The whole competition looked brutal and was humbling to watch. Seeing the top athletes in the world stuggle was insane. But maybe someday I will make it to worlds, even if I don't get very far.

4:55 fran eh? A 15yr old girl at my box just did it today in 4:15 :p. I'm messing with you. She did actually do that, but your time is a good time. I have no idea what my time is but I know it's not sub 5 min.

fran is a brutal wod. im just learning that its best to not stop no matter how bad it hurts. just keep pounding through it. you want to finish it before your body even realizes what your doing to it. my buddy and i had the same time after the first group of 21 (1:03). but he kept going and i stopped for a second to regroup. he was able to keep repping em out but i had to break it up a few times. not saying that i would have gotten near his score but i think i would have been better. next time im just gonna "man up" and pound through the pain.

I saw the guy tear his bicep in the deadlift, kind of a crazy thing to tear doing a deadlift. He looked shocked when it tore.

He is a big guy for late 50's and whoops my ass in the workouts. I believe he was shocked but was told he was in good spirits. Probably won't see him in the gym for a while.

For those of you interested in Crossfit but don't think you have the ability to do a complete WOD right away, check out http://www.crossfitbrandx.com/index.php/forums/viewforum/16/ This is the WOD from the Crossfit website scaled to make it within everyones abilities. Its still an ass kicker but worth it and it gets you in shape so you can step up your intensity till you are doing full WOD's like the Big Dawgs. lol

Glad to see you are keeping up the crossfit life Brandon. I wish I could, I miss it like crazy and have noticed I have lost some strength already. My Company Liaison is a Crossfit affiliate, along with his Brother and sister, kinda cool

Yep, still going keeping the lifestyle up. Got a competition at the end of the month, the Colorado Open. It is for anyone in colorado and thankfully held at my gym. My goal is to not take last.

The competition is this weekend. I'm quite nervous. I'm hoping to be good enough for team or individual competition for next years games.
