Is it? Here's the GF's car, then.

And one she snapped of her car and my truck, when I was meeting her for dinner out and she got there first

225 or 273? Or did you stuff something else in there?

It's a slant car so I just put another one in. I also upgraded to the square back alternator and rewired the engine bay as much as possible while also bypassing the bulkhead to ammeter. I was afraid I would mess things up not having a jumping off point and working blind from just schematics and the fsm. Everything is working as it should so far. Now I need to rewire the fuse block in the cab. It's pretty cruddy and I need to clean/replace the fuse contacts.

I had to do the same with my '69. Common problem for Mopars from that era, to have the bulkhead connection eat itself. Mine were really bad, before I bypassed the primary Hot and Ground wires

Luckily mine didn't look that bad but I wasn't about to let it get that bad either.

Mine was in that condition when I bought it. The previous owner wasn't very mechanically inclined, so he'd just hop out and wiggle the connection whenever it wouldn't start. I bought it in March and was fed up with the random 'no start' condition by May, so that Memorial Day Weekend I tore it all apart and did a bypass. Has worked great ever since.

Couple of my oldies; 1968 Z/28; bought when I was 16 in 1980 and have owned it ever since. Original down to the paint. Can still see the shadow of a z/28 emblem on the grill I had on it when I was young and dumb... 979FE31D-52FE-4AF1-9C64-F3DF6D128E8E.jpg
1972 Monte Carlo; bought from the original family and have made some tasteful upgrades like a 700r4, cam, Edelbrock Performer intake and restored/modified quadrajet, NOS Z/ 28 LT1 valve covers and dual snorkel air cleaner. Runs at 75-80 all day long with cruise control on.

    Nice cars!
I always get a chuckle out of the depth of the fan shrouds on the early Monte Carlos...

No kidding! GM had to figure out some way to stick the radiator in the airflow and still get the fan to work. They are made of fiberglass and almost impossible to find without cracks or repairs.
