    That's funny. I've been looking at mountain biking videos on youtube today at both areas. I see that Cloudcroft is only about 50 miles from Ruidoso. Were gunning for late June if the creeks don't rise and the good lord is willing!

    Most of it is owned by the Mescalero Apache Tribe. I've never had any problems with tribal police. It has some amazing scenery in that area.

    I'm planning on a major expedition into the Gila NF and Gila Wilderness in May. In Southwest NM. My grandfather was born nearby in Silver City but I've never had a chance to really explore it. It's always been on my bucket list.
