Oh yeah for sure. Some guys on the local repeater have a down to a science. They have theirs hooked up to Bluetooth so they can control it from work

 

I really didn't want an app controlled one at first because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use it if I switched phones...

Now I kind of regret that as the kids kept turning it off at night the first time I used it. It would have been nice to get alerts about that behavior.

 

Damn tribe

 

Mostly the oldest female child. It has somewhat of an entitled attitude as of late. This has been corrected with liberal application of punishment and threat of unusual punishment.

 

You'd get along with my buddy Matt real well. He shares a similar outlook on how to appropriately regulate life's happenings .


I.e.

When sick, drink tons of booze to create a hostile environment inside of you which nothing can survive

 

Alcohol kills germs.
Duh.

 

I just let the superior cells prevail. If I go down in the making, that's the way nature intended it to be

I've poured soapy water into a shotglass and placed it on the porch with a toothbrush. I then pressure wash a 6"x6" box in the sidewalk. I instructed one of the male children to clean inside the box with the toothbrush until it's as clean as the box I pressure washed. He was not to move the shotglass and he needed to request more soapy water if he ran out.

Motherfucker scrubbed for six hours before he was ready to repent.

I once had one of the male children write "I will not bring food into my bedroom because that's how you get ants" over and over again in spiral bound notebooks while I slept from a night shift. 10 hours later he filled four notebooks.

They don't mouth off or screw up much anymore. They are a fairly happy and well behaved tribe now. I spend a lot of time playing with them and reading to them and teaching them cool stuff. So, mostly we lead with the carrot and only deploy the stick if they realllllly fuck up.

 

Have one of those and cook a quick burger on lunch

 

Oh and one time I made the oldest female child wear a tshirt to highschool that said "my mommy is my valentine"

In October.

Amazon has a ton of cool punishment shirts like that.

Here we can dump hotsauce down a 2 year old's throat (but not wash their mouth out with soap) as a punishment.

 

Liberal-achusetts. Criminals become the victim. DCF will investigate if you yell at a kid wrong; never mind invade their sthafe sthpace.

I get what you're saying. I think it's important to be stern with kids and establish boundaries. After they know their roles and what's appropriate, they keep themselves in line.

Here we have the opposite problem. You can almost beat a kid to death as long as you don't leave a mark. I've never touched any of the kids roughly except to prevent harm. (ex. picking them up as they are fixin to run into the street).

 

For now my voice and size work well enough to keep the boys in line... I have a good feeling they’re both going to be bigger than me but by then hopefully we’ll have taught them enough to respect authority and be gentle giants.
