I'm in for cam gears. Hp tuner pro version arriving today. Also I have tables set up using the maf calibrator that dialed in my rich trd tune. Willing to share said tables if they will translate well into the hp tuning

 

I hit the 322 g/s MAF ceiling this morning on the way to work. With the restrictive stock air box, stock throttle body and 2.5” exhaust!

but you can sell the ucon with the new cam gears. no one will want it with out them. but i dunno who wants ucon now anyways

 

What were the axes on the tables in the R4 Software? RPM/MAF Volts?

 

How's that new timing map feel?

I'm working on reproducing gears that will use the same cam timing specifications that the APR/URD gears utilized. So those that may want gears can get them. Those with UCON's can unload them if they wish (with gears) and still have the option to run the retarded exhaust cam timing.

Yes to all the above. R4 software. rpm in 500 increments. maf voltage in 0.1 volt increments

 

You could use them in the HPTuners software but that wouldn't be the best way to approach properly fueling the motor when you now have access to the tables/maps that actually make the fueling decisions, instead of manipulation of external sensors to get the ECU to fuel the motor the way you want.

 

So, I've installed the software that came on the flashdrive. Do I need to get a different version off of the HP Tuners website?

 

From working with another, I'd STRONGLY encourage folks to download the latest beta release off HPTuners web site. I have a feeling the USB contains the full version, which at current time, will lead to some headaches if you attempt to use it on the Tacoma platform.

 

I didn’t even know what that thumb drive was for. I think everybody is using the Beta VCM Suite. I recommend you remove all other software and then download only the beta version from the HP website. There should be a small set of instructions with the tuner telling you the sequence to download the suite then plug in your device for verification and sync.
