Want to start painting the house tomorrow. Haters say it's going to rain all day, but I found a weather forecast that says not until the late afternoon. Ordered the paint and will pick it up as soon as them open and get as much done as I can. Finish the rest Sunday/Mid week whenever it the rain stops.

What base paint is it? Are you spraying it? Brush it into wood if your spraying to make it soak in

We have cement board for siding and it came primed from the factory, not 100% sure what they used. The overcoat paint will be a Sherwin Williams Duration which is a latex paint. I am going to brush trim and roll the sides, if rolling doesn't work well, we will have to brush I guess. The siding is 8x10 pieces of the hardie board, that we will add battens to after for a traditional board and batten look. We will attach the batten after the first coat goes down and paint them before putting them on. So it's really going to be like rolling big sheets of drywall and should go pretty quickly.

Gotta pick up a yard or two of compost over next couple days. Making two more boxes. Next year I am making a U shaped box with double 2 by 10’s (height ), or two parallel. Not sure yet , but for now it’s six 3 1/2 x 4‘ boxes .

Anybody in the Nashua area know where I can get some cow manure ? I don’t need much but it’s a lot cheaper than buying a bunch of bags of it. Especially if they don’t mind give me a couple of wheelbarrels full

Best bet is to check Craigslist; this time of year a lot of places advertise manure that they're trying to get rid of to make room for more.

Yeah, and ammonia. If you put fresh directly in the garden it'll burn your plants. But they usually have older stuff on hand too, from last year, that would be safe. If not, find another farm, lol.

You can speed the aging process, if you've got a compost tumbler and some lawn lime, but it'll still be a few weeks before it's safe to put on your garden.

I've officially lost my immunity to poison ivy.

The spots started Monday, we've now moved to full blisters up both arms. I had Thursday and Friday off this week because of Good Friday and my work schedule and had high hopes to do tons of work. Life was like, yeah, about that.

I could work in the yard around anything and be fine. I'd work with the wife and she'd get absolutely covered and I'd be okay. My Mom ended up nearly going to the hospital hers got so bad at her house and I was fine. I do some basic pulling of vines around the yard and I'm a bubbly mess. Blah.
