The RTT works for me because when my wife and I go on trips we typically just set up for the night and then pack up and roll out to the next city the next morning.

I think that depends on the tent / person. Matt is selling his partly because the setup / takedown was such a PITA

Damn, yesterday evening and last night was quite the beauty shop chatter! @medic2230 definitely glad you're ok(ish) buddy, that sounds like alot of painful suck! Im waiting for all this tent talk to turn into RV talks in the future, haha. Also, due to some unforeseen circumstances at my current job(didn't get fired or quit....yet), I have a phone interview today and Monday with 2 different companies. Hoping I can get out of this "bro driven" place soon:fingerscrossed:

I don't know what he saw as a PITA, but every video of his exact tent it is easily setup/torn down.

Setting up an RTT isn't bad, but stuffing it back away is a PITA.

I think the space is phenomenal considering the short time it takes for setup/teardown.

I have heard this a few times from multiple people, but mine is very very easy to pack back up. Everything stuffs up and zips in the cover with ease.

I think a lot of the ease of setup / take down with my setup is the height of the tent

the height of mine was never the factor for it being difficult. helped others pack their bed-height ones and it was a pain.

    Only the best.
The putting it back in the bag alone is what sucks lol. No the tent itself sets up and tears down quick. All the stuff that goes in the tent for sleeping with a family of 5 and then having to put all that stuff back up everytime is what sucks

but you have to put all that stuff up every time with an RTT too, you can't store it in the RTT.

literally the only thing you don't have to setup with the RTT is the mattress....and arguably you don't have to have one in a ground tent.

Does anyone know a shop near Dothan that will service icon shocks? My front driver's side shock has a substantial leak

You will almost definitely have to send them off somewhere to be rebuilt.

From someone on 5100s, the ride and adjustability of coilovers is worth it.

Keep the stock shocks with a spacer to run while your coilovers are being rebuilt and it’s a non-issue

Had to redo mine and was referred by Icon to a shop in Texas. I imagine other places can do them but I was under a time crunch and had to get them done right away. Meantime, truck sat on jack stands for two weeks while they were done. Also removed the coils to save on shipping which was fortunately accomplished at the the Redstone auto hobby shop.

I was at about 50K on them which Icon said was about in the middle of normal useage :)mad:). Also only one shock leaked but I sent both of them in to make sure I wouldn't run into the same issue with the other one. At almost 80K now and no other issues so far. Probably going with ADS this time if I run into this issue again.

Rebuilding shocks yourself isn't that difficult if you've got a clean area to work and a good vice. I've rebuild rear shocks on dirt bikes before and the hardest part was just finding a source to get the nitrogen charged. Once my ADS coilovers start leaking, that's my plan at least.

Same way I do when I adjust them. I lube the threads and use a correctly sized punch to spin the collar. I've never had to use a coil spring compressor.

That’s the unfortunate aspect of running coilovers around here. Local shops don’t cater to the trucks that we have. Your best bet to have it done quick is do it yourself.

You might find a local (unlikely in Dothan) shop that will do it, by you will likely be better off sending them somewhere.
