Thanks. I cut it. I pulled the radio trim and a/c controls out, grabbed my dremel, and then spent the next few minutes giving myself a motivational pep talk in hopes that I wouldn’t ruin my dash. It was a lot easier than I expected. Don’t rush it and it’ll come out nice.

Bought a fire extinguisher last year before we went camping, thinking "I'll never use this thing"...but always better to be safe, right?

Didn't use it camping, but witnessed a car crash about a month ago. Dude ran straight into a tree going about 45-50 mph. First couple people rushed to help him, pried the door open as he was trapped by the dash coming down on to his legs. The engine bay started smoking and lit up (not huge, but it was most definitely on fire). I pulled over much to my wife's dismay "we need to go dear!" I got out, whipped forward the back seat, grabbed said extinguisher and put the fire out while everyone else was getting a little distraught about the situation. The cops showed and yanked him from the car since it was still smoking a bit...he had broken at least one leg (tibia/fibia fracture), and was unable to get himself out, and the civilians there were too scared to extract him since he was in a lot of pain.

Went out the next day and bought a replacement for that little red hero behind my back seat! Even if I never use one again, at least I have some level of readiness.

From what I recall, you have to take a razorblade and trim the very tip of the stant(thread) in order for it to press into the Gasshole.

Great comparison! I like the USRs ones better they are brighter than MESOs even though I have the MESO ones.
Do you mind to share what kind of turn light bulbs you have in the headlights ?

Nice video. I have the Meso turns and have had zero issues. It seems clear that the USR turns are noticeably brighter but does that also mean better? To me the USRs are a little “too bright” whereas the Meso turns are bright and yet have a more OEM look while on. However, I also think the USRs seemed to fit in better as far as having less gaps between the light and mirror housing. That could simply be an install issue.

Yes, but from what I can tell from other folks' experience, there are two versions of the Stant under the same model number, and you won't know which one you'll get until it arrives. One has a smooth cylinder at the end before the threads start -- that one will fit the Gasshole like the OEM cap does; just push it in (as Meso says, it may take some slight sanding, either on the Stant or the Gasshole. ) The other one (like I got,) has threads all the way to the end of the part that screws in. I had to file a v-shaped notch in the opening of the Gasshole so that the thread would engage; I can't push the cap into the Gasshole, but it screws in just fine. I guess I could have sanded off the end of the thread to make a smooth cylinder that would push into the Gasshole, but If I screwed up the Gasshole, I could still use the Stant while I awaited delivery of a new Gasshole -- if I screwed up the Stant, I'd have to go back to the OEM filler cap while I awaited delivery of a new Stant.

Sorry, I'm an old fart and my phone isn't a camera, so no pics :(

I replaced my Plasti-Dipped grill with a Fo-Grill. The Plasti-Dip looked good for awhile but started to peal. So rather then re-dip, I opted to spend the $100 on the Pro. (I know the Pro grill is over done) but I think it looks great.
